How long is my custom web store open to accept orders from our business supporters / fans?

We will keep your store open and active to accept orders for 14 days. We have found 14 days allows you to effectively promote the webstore, your story, your needs, the overall concept to your supporters, friends, family, neighbors and the entire community!

Can I customize my Threads4Good webstore?

We are able to customize your store in some ways to make it feel LIKE YOU/YOUR BUSINESS for your supporters! We will be able to add your logo and an image of your store along with the images of your custom shirts.

How will I know when my web store is closing?

There will be a countdown ticker on your webstore prominently displayed.

How will I know how much $$$ my web store has raised for my small business?

There will be a ticker on your webstore prominently displayed that will ENCOURAGE you and all of your fans to continue promoting and purchasing!

Will you reopen my web store after the initial 14-day time period?

We are committed to helping you raise funds for your business or cause. After the initial 14-day selling cycle, Threads4Good can work with you to determine if your web store could be reopened. We have creative ideas we can share with you once we get you through your first two week selling cycle. We are entrepreneurs too and are always open to strategizing success!

Who sets the fundraising goal for my web store?

You will set that when you sign up. We hope that you are asking us to INCREASE the goal in no time because of your amazing promotion of your shirts! We can easily increase your goal, all you need to do is email us to let us know ([email protected])

When will the orders be shipped out?

All orders are pre-orders and will be collected while the web store is open. After 14 days, the webstore will be “turned off” (NOT deleted) and we will get to work printing and shipping your amazing new t-shirts! Typically shirts will ship 10-12 days AFTER the store closes. I.e.: Store opens May 1 / store closes May 14 @ 11:59pm / orders ship out May 25-27 / shipping times vary 1-3 days.

When will I receive my funds raised?

We will send out funds ($8/shirt sold) the week after the store closes, e.g. Store closes May 14 / Funds distributed May 15-21.

How will you distribute my funds?

We prefer to send funds electronically for time and efficiency sake. We can use Venmo or PayPal. We realize people use different electronic funds services and we will do our best to accommodate, but can not promise to meet every need. We also realize some business owners may need us to send a paper check. This would be our last option simply for efficiency and reliability sake.

Will I have to report the $$ received as income?

The federal government requires you to report any misc. income earned over $600. If you sell 76 shirts or more, we will require you to fill out a W9 form so that we can properly handle the income. We encourage small businesses to focus on selling as many shirts as possible! We feel a request for a W9 is like a victory badge from Threads4Good as it shows you made $601+ with $0 investment and NO risk! When was the last time that happened to your small business?

What logo can I use for my shirts?

You can use whatever logo you would like, as long as it is vector format (.ai or .eps). We have some businesses use their standard every day logo and we have also had businesses get creative with a themed logo promoting the times we are currently in. We are limiting the imprint color choices to one color per design due to the fundraising model we are offering.

What is the deal with #hashtags?

Threads4Good believes #hashtags are a powerful tool to gain attention, traction and visibility on social media. We would suggest using a #hashtag somewhere on your shirt design. A generic #hashtag (#SupportLocal or #SmallBusinessStrong) could be used or a more specific #hashtag for your community/region may be your choice (#SupportToledo or #WeGotThisWA).

Where are the shirts printed?

All shirts purchased are printed at our partner supplier Embroidery & Screen Works, Inc. (EASW) in Yankton, SD. Their facility remains in operation and is adhering to the CDC and other government guidelines during the times we are in.

Can I get the contact information of who purchased my shirts to say thanks?

We know some businesses want to say thanks to those who supported you through the purchase of your branded apparel. When a person checks out from your webstore, they will be asked if they grant us permission to release their contact information (first/last name & email only). For those who give this permission, we can provide that upon request as time allows. Our focus is on helping you promote your web store and sell the maximum # of shirts!

What if my store doesn’t sell 24 shirts?

We believe that if you follow our suggestions and use the marketing tools we will provide, selling 24 shirts will be NO problem at all! Who doesn’t know friends, family, neighbors, supporters that wouldn’t want to help you during this time? Oh yeah, and they get an amazing soft shirt with your logo to wear for years to come too! Our past experience shows, the only businesses that don’t sell 24 shirts are those who DON’T promote. In the rare occasion that your store sells 23 or fewer shirts, Threads4Good will keep all funds from that store to cover our losses. We will still print any shirts ordered from your store. We suggest NOT focusing on the 24 minimum and shooting for the maximum $$ raised!
