About 571,000, more than 7 in 10, Dreamers hold jobs. The most occupied jobs among these workers includefood operation/services (16%), sales (15%), office/admin(12%), and construction (10%).
100% of DACA recpientsare either enrolled in or haveat least graduated high school.
64% are currently enrolled or have completedhigh school. 20% are currently enrolled in college. And 16% have completed some college, with 5% of those recieving at least a Bachelor’s.
Out of the nearly 800,000 people who haverecieved benefits from the DACA program:
About 690,000 are still protected,
70,000 have been rejected to recieve ornot renewed their benefits,
And only 40,000 have gone on to recieve their green card and become legal citizens.
These people are active contributors to our society. They are in our schools, our communities, and ourworkplaces. They deserve more than just a temporary protection. They deserve a quick andsimple path toward citizenship. They are just likeus, and deserve to be treated that way.
