Atlas•An atlas is a book of maps.

Thesaurus•A thesaurus is a book of words and their SYNONYMS arranged in alphabetical order.

.edu indicates an educational site,

.org usually shows that a site is run by a nonprofit organization such as PBS or the Red Cross,

.com is the most popular kind of site because companies want to advertise their products,

.net is the latest of the new endings for URLs,

.gov is exclusively used for sites owned and operated by the government.
