TNT: TRANSITIONS IN TRAINING

¡ TNT is an 80-hour PRE-ETS program for students registered with vocational rehabilitation agencies or potentially eligible students. It is a combination of lecture, guest speakers, independent living skills and community-based locations.

¡ It is a collaborative effort of BSBP, DNCAP, MSU and SCM. – Collaboration is vital as each agency has a specific skill set needed to implement this program.

¡ The goal of the program is to include all five required pre-employment transition service categories: ¡ Job Exploration and Counseling¡ Work-based Learning¡ Post-Secondary Exploration¡ Workplace Readiness Training¡ Self-Advocacy Instruction

¡ State of Michigan Vocational Rehabilitation Agency serving clients who meet criteria of legal blindness

¡ Many clients have additional disabilities beyond visual impairment

¡ Programs include Youth Low Vision, Vocational Rehabilitation, Independent Living, DeafBlindServices, Business Enterprise Program, Braille and Talking Book Library, and the BSBP Training Center

In Michigan, a licensed children's camp is defined in Act No. 116 of the Public Acts of 1973, as amended. A children's camp is five or more children, away from their parents, relatives or legal guardians, for five or more days within a 14-day period in a natural environment.Under 5 days, there is no guidance; this is when you need to consider best practices regarding issues such as medication, staffing ratios, and safety.
