HISTORY

Philanthropy has been the heart of the Sanghvi Family’s life in Pune and in their native state of Rajasthan. The Modest beginning and strong vision of Late Shri Surajmal K Sanghvi, has started with PTC i.e. Patent tiffin Carrier. With a rolling mill plant to roll copper, brass and aluminium sheets, a new dream rolled out in the history of the Sanghvi family. Since then the descendants have only added to this dream and are still adding.

The family business turned to become a company that started generating and employment for 500 workers to 1500 workers, with branches all over India, and become the leading aluminium suppliers in the country with an annual sales of approximately 4000 tons.

A small glitch in the state governance led to downsizing of this factory, but the next generation, Mr. Kantilal Sanghvi along with his young son Mr. Sandeep Sanghvi once again set the empire in the eighties to form Orbit Win Door Pvt. Ltd. with the aim of supplying premium architectural material such as aluminium windows and doors, Orbit concentrated on marketing Architectural Qualicoat grade powders from H B Fuller, USA.

Along with Architectural powder Orbit, later on, get into the powder coating business. Currently, Orbit is a leader in powder coatings technology and heat resistant coatings.

Orbit has set for itself a mission to be the most reliable source for everything related to powder coatings. To make this happen Orbit has Installed a state-of-the-art modern robotic plant on 1,80,000 sq. ft. of land, with 12,000 sq. Ft. built-up area and an annual capacity of over 3700 tonnes at Alandi, Pune & Chennai. Orbit has the experience in Heat Resistant coatings for more than a decade, since 1997. Now, orbit with different technology partner has developed a better version of Heat Resistant Paints and Powder (suitable for up to 700 ̊ C) which are now available under the brand name ‘ORBIT’. Orbit has state-of-the-art manufacturing lines custom-designed to suit high heat applications. Orbit has two state-of-the-art manufacturing lines custom-designed to suit for performance powder coating.

The manufacturing process is controlled by ISO9001:2015 standards wherein the production takes place only after complete testing of the first sample. Strict monitoring at every stage ensures the quality of production.

The particle size is also checked with modern testing equipment. Orbit has imported ultra monitoring testing equipment to maintain the consistent distribution of particles. Our main assets are highly skilled and dedicated experts who are well qualified and rich in experience. The manufacturing staff is well supported by other qualified and dedicated experts who keep production running smoothly by using imported raw material whenever required.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

In these products, quality is the main asset. Naturally, the quality department is the heart of our enterprise. As stated before in process, Quality control is the essence of production. however, the final product is tested by simulating the conditions at the users end. The product is applied on panels of various substrate and rigorously tested.

The powder quality and it’s coverage mainly depend upon particle size distribution. At Orbit, continuous monitoring of particle size is done by Laser Particle Size Analyzer.

Orbit heat resistant products are tested for high heat resistance of up to 600°C. The heat aging and heat-water quenching cyclic tests are carried out on the panels in Muffle Furnace for confirming heat resistance of the products.

The corrosion resistance of the products before and after heat tests are carried out as per ASTM standard to confirm behavior of the products in corrosive environment. At the same time, performance powder are also being tested to assess, actual product performance.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Material is a high heat resistant Powder Coating based on Inorganic Resin.

INTENDED USE: Initially intended for use as coating for exhaust, barbecues. This product can be used whenever there is a need for high heat stability. High temperature required upto 650°C / 1202°F for better colour stability.

Orbit’s Omega 4000 is a new generation TGIC free range of durable powder

coatings; formulated for use on architectural aluminium components. Omega 4000

confirms to the performance of the AAMA 2603-02 & Qualicoat Class 1

specification and gives excellent exterior durability and color retention.

OMEGA 5500


Orbit’s Omega 5500 is series based powder coatings specifically designed for use on

exterior Architecture Aluminium components or Exterior Galvanised Components to

give excellent durability offering significantly higher gloss retention and resistance to

colour change combined with maximum film integrity to ensure long term cosmetic

and functional protection. Omega 5500 has been developed as an economical and

environmentally compliant alternative to the traditional multi-coat PVDF coating.

not faded inspite of all the weather abuse.

After 12 years of very high weather abuse and QUV these green powder coated sheets,

show no significant change in colour.

Approved applicators certificate for use of Omega architectural product of Orbit Coatings Pvt. Ltd. are given only after thorough inspection & audit of applicator’s plat & laboratory facilities such as Pre-treatment, powder coating application, curing conditions & laboratory test equipments. Applicators meeting appropriate standards with respect to facilities & who demonstrates successful application & quality management system are awarded approved applicator certificate; which is valid for 2 years. To have continuity Orbit’s technical team makes regular visit to cross check quality parameters & also to collect samples from running projects for regular testing.

CASE STUDY - CANOPY COATING One of our major customers producing Generator had faced with peculiar problem of color variation within the

same canopy coating with White shade. They not only face problem of color variation within the same canopy but

also with canopies coming from various applicators/fabricators.

Orbit Coatings Pvt. Ltd. has successfully designed Brighter White shade for Gen set Canopy coating; which helps

end customer; to have supply of canopies through various applicators/ fabricators without having any color

variation on canopies. This has resulted in improved quality perception of our end customer; which in turn helps

ORSIL HR 700

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: New liquid paint ORSIL HR 700 to meets challenging demand of 700°C. Targeted for higher CC engine as well as gas engine vehicle wherein temperature can go beyond 650°C.

It is high heat resistant paint based on Silicon Binder and formulated with high heat

stable inorganic pigment.

INTENDED USE:

It is a two coat high resistant black paint specially developed for applications where

heat resistance requirement is upto 650°C like Two Wheeler Silencers, Generators,

and so on. It shows excellent corrosion resistance after achieving high temperature

stress.

ORSIL FLAMEBLACK GLOSSY

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Flame resistant coating with satin finish formulated with specially modified Silicon Binder.

INTENDED USE: It is a flame resistant ready to use single component coating which is meant for LPG gas burner grid. Though this product is designed for LPG gas burner grid, it can be applied on various objects which are in close contact with LPG gas flames.

ORSIL HR AIR DRY SILVER (550°C)

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Heat resistant air dry black/grey coat based on Silicon Binder.

INTENDED USE: It is a unique lustrous silver air dry coating specially designed to withstand heat resistance upto 500-550°C. Since it is air dry product, it saves energy coast required for oven in baking type products. It can be applied on the metal structure like chimneys where baking types of paints cannot be applied.

ORSIL 30 HR SILVER (400 °C)

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: High heat resistant silver top coat for 400°C, based on Silicon Epoxy Binder.

INTENDED USE: It is a high heat resistant lustrous aluminium paint specially developed for various applications such as ovens, generators and so on where high temperature requirements are prevailing. It is easy for application and suitable for external application with good corrosion resistance after achieving high temperature stress.

ORBIT 2K HB EPOXY PAINT

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: It is two component epoxy paint specially developed for structural coating. It has excellent adhesion on metal surface with good corrosion resistance. It is easy for application by spray gun, roller brush etc.

INTENDED USE: Modified anti corrosive Epoxy resin with modified amine hardener. All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry and free from contamination prior to application. Any traces of oil, grease should be removed by appropriate solvent cleaning.

SPECIFICATIONS: RAL shade with smooth finish. Pot life 3-4 hours @ 30°C. Allow appropriate loss factor with shelf life of about 6 month in cool dry place.This product is intended to use only by professional applicators in accordance with the information provided with the product sheet, material data safety sheet and product container.

ORSIL COOL COAT

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Orsil Cool Coat is a single component liquid applied coating for walls based on Acrylic Emulsion Binder.

INTENDED USE: This can be applied on interior and exterior walls of houses and building. The low thermal conductivity of this coating serves as insulation medium and resist heat transfer. It reduces the consumption of AC (Air Conditioned) and thus ultimately saves the energy cost.
