WHATS WHAT

Asset log:

• How you record the assets used in production and make it easy to find things. Managing our project. Lets you know were you got information and images from.

• The links in the sources help when looking into the copyrite of the material.

Budget

• This is the sheet for production budget. Budget is used to calculate how much the production will cost overall. Taking into account the costs of equipment (such as camera hire, lighting etc).

• It also accounts for the cost of crew, Actors Transport requirements props

Call Sheet

• List of every one that is involved in the filming. All the information needed to be given to everyone involved. Call sheets are made every day of shooting. All information covered.

• This information is used to keep everyone up to date on the shoot.

• It also provides contact info for the crew. Expected weather for the shoot (therefore crew can wear suitable clothing)

Contact Details

• Contact information on everyone involved in production. Email addresses and phone numbers.

• This is useful if you have to contact a member of production – having this information available allows people to quickly resolve problems.

Footage Log

• All information on what is on tape for editing. Make it easy to edit.

• The description allows a short summery of the clips.

• This information is used in post production and ensures the editor and special effects.

Location Permission Form

• You need to make sure you get permission, to film in public places.

• If you don’t then they could sue you for trespassing

• Also with the added threat of terrorism getting permission is important, to present to authority.

Release and consent agreement

• You need to have permission to use the footage of people in your production.

• You need them to sign and agree so the production company owns the right of the footage.

Requirements

• This is a check list to ensure you have everything needed for production.

• When hiring equipment you need to check it’s available, check when it’s booked and then count for it to say everything is there that’s needed.

• The benefit of this is so you know what you need to book what equipments available to hire therefore ensuring your shoot runs smoothly

Story Boarding

• To draw and write what is happening in important shots and key scenes. Also holds shot types, dialog and key movement.

• Helps the director get the details of the shot right

• Ensures the camera people are g

Risk Assessment

• All productions must have a risk assesment in place to minimise the risk of something dangerous happening.

• You record each possible risk with a rating ect and have a plan of action in place incase something happens

Gannt chart

• This is basically a timeline production schedule which allows you to keep organized...

• Colour coding allows you to easily understand the Gant chart.

• Allows you to keep check of deadlines easily.

Footage list/log

• Information for the editor to find good bit’s of footage

• The Director ensures the correct clip is used for the edit

• Show’s the time codes in & out for footage that the director wants to be considered for final edit.

• The quality of the clip is also noted to ensure the best footage is used.
