SYLLABUS
The first page of your binder.
The syllabus explains the rigor, scope and sequence of the
entire year of instruction.
It explains late work, grading, and expectations for this
course.
READ IT. Word for word, all the way through.
If you choose to ignore it, you will find yourself lost and
likely regret your decision to blindly attempt this course.
SYLLABUSGrading for dual credit:
• 90% essays/10% MHS average for semester• Late work accepted with 10% decrease per day late (24 hours)
• Example: If you get an 83 on the assignment and it is 2 days (48 hours) late, your grade would be reduced 20%. Which means you would receive a 66.4 on the assignment.
Grading for high school credit:• 60% major/40% minor• Late work accepted with 10% decrease per day late (not
including weekends)• Example: If you get an 83 on the assignment and it is 4 days
late, but two of those days were Saturday and Sunday, your grade would be reduced 20%. Which means you would receive a 66.4 on the assignment.
SYLLABUS
You will do the same work regardless of what type
of credit you choose (Dual or High School Only).
Expectations are the same for everyone.
Length requirements are the same for everyone.
SO… you might as well sign up for dual credit. • Scholarships are available for those who qualify.• There are payment plans through Midland College.
