System RequirementsFor the latest system requirements information and to learn about specific qualified system configurations, go to the System Requirements page. Some users have had success running system configurations that deviate from the supported listed on our website. In such cases, these configurations are not officially supported by 3D Systems, Inc.

Additionally, we test a variety of hardware platforms in combination with the graphics subsystems. While we make every attempt to be as thorough as possible, hardware manufacturers change their products frequently and may be shipping newer products or have discontinued active support for others. Check the support section of the website for the latest system requirement information and specific qualified systems.

Download and Install SoftwareYou can download and install the software from softwaresupport.3dsystems.com/getting-started/, select the 3D Sprint product, then click Download 3D Sprint to download 3D Sprint.

In addition, automatic software updates are available if you set the Check for updates on launch option to True in Preferences and a valid maintenance code is activated, and your computer is connected to the Internet. The application will check if a newer version is available and will download it automatically for installation.

You can also visit support.3dsystems.com, select you printer, then download 3D Sprint for the Software Downloads section on you printer’s site.

Activate License3D Sprint requires license activation to run the application on your PC. You can choose to use an evaluation license for a 30-day period or activate a permanent license by using an activation code.

3 NEW FEATURES AND IMPROVEMENTS

CommonVideos added to Help Content – When using 3D Sprint on a computer connected to the internet you can now view videos from the application help. These videos will help give you a better understanding of how some tools and commands can be used.

Retaining Default Setting – 3D Sprint will now remember the settings for a printer that has been set by stepping through the printer setup. This means that when you open a project file with settings that differ from your regular setting, your default settings are no longer lost and will be used the next time you create a new project.

Preferred Printer Settings – For some printer and material combinations a ‘default’ or preferred printer setting are now shown for Print Mode and Build Style options. This will show you the settings we recommend for a given printer / material combination to maximize the chance of a successful build.

Copy - We have now enabled the copy command to create more copies, up to a limit of 999.

Advanced Beta - Part Rendering – When the Advanced Beta Features are enabled we have added access to an option in Preferences to show parts as a bounding box as wireframe only. This option helps to improve the display performance for builds with large number of parts on the platform.

MJPEstimations improvements – We have continued to evaluate and improve the Time and Material estimations in 3D Sprint to give a more accurate estimation for users.

Printer Maintenance – We have done some maintenance to support the MJP printer models.

This includes:

• A new ‘Enhanced Cooling Mode’ for ProJet MJP 2500 IC printers.

• Improved help content for Infill commands and Cellular Structures for ProJet MJP 2500 IC printers.

• A change to the default clearance when using the Split command.

• Some additional bug fixes and updates

SLARebranding of VisiJet SL materials - Former VisiJet SL materials for the ProJet 6000 and 7000 printers have now been rebranded as Accura. There has been no change to these materials, and you will not experience any change in performance. Going forward, all bottles manufactured will have labels reflecting the new name as outlined below. Users who do not upgrade their ProJet 6000 and/or ProJet 7000 system software and 3D Sprint to the latest versions may still see the legacy VisiJet name displayed. Please install the latest version of software to ensure that the product name on the bottle label matches what is displayed on the printer user interface. Please see the list below for the mapping between old and new materials.

Import Supports from File – Some users create custom support structures in other software and wish to import these structures and associate them with a part in a build. To support this we have added the option to import and associate a support file to a part. Please note however that there is not checking if the imported supports are correct for the part.

SLSEstimation Scan times – For estimations on SLS printers, Layer time display shows the total layer time which include scan time, roller motion and other wait times for the layer. We have now added an option to show Scan Time, a layer time that excludes the roller motion and other wait times.

BPZ Import Update - When importing an SLS Build File (.bpz), if the current printer setting do not match those in the .bpz file you will be given an option to import the parts only (if an SLS printer is currently selected) or import the part and change the printer settings to match those in the build packet, where able.

DLPAdvanced Beta – Texture Region Detection - When the Advanced Beta Features are enabled we have added access to an option in Smart Supports to exclude regions based on texture. This exclusion is controlled by three new parameters: Roughness, Hole Roughness, and Granularity Ratio.

Printer Queue Issues – We have taken the chance to address several printer queue issues that affected users when using 3D Sprint with our DLP machines.

New ‘Solid’ build style for JewelCast GRN – A new preset ‘Solid’ build style has been added to 3D Sprint for the JewelCast GRN material.
