phrases and clauses, in order to learn when and how to use, semi-colons, colons, and commas. Take the pretest on page 295 in your notebook. Elect a team leader. Students will read and investigate “The Weary Blues” by Langston Hughes (Daybook 19.) Students will view the following video link that

encompasses a dramatic reading of the poem with images from 1920s Harlem nightlife and music
