TASK CARD

“Example card”

Card Group 1: My ideal/utopian School building.

From Thomas

My ideal school is very big and luxury. It is yellow with green and red windows. It is

large and spacious. It has got a blue door. There are flowers before the school. There

is a swimming pool with a red floor. There is a tennis court behind the school and

large playgrounds. The classrooms have a good number of windows.

From Romain

My ideal school is large, nice and clean. It is close to the sea, but in the centre of the

city. In front of the school there is a swimming pool. There are a lot of classrooms.

The walls are purple and yellow. In front of the school there is a park with fountains

and a small shop and coffee shop. Outside the shop there are tables and chairs.

From Julie

My ideal school is built in nature. It is away from the noise of the city. There is a

peaceful atmosphere.

On the walls of the school there is graffiti of children’s art. Near the school, there is a

school garden with benches and tables.

Card Group 2: My ideal/utopian School Canteen

From Thomas

The canteen is huge, with 300 seats. 15 robots are our service, including five who

wipe empty seats. There is also a popcorn machine, and a candy drawer. In this

canteen there is a distributor of pop corn , chocolate bars, fizzy and flat drinks .

We can choose what we want to eat but we do not pay. We can also eat several

times. We can sit where we want . This canteen is quite colourful and we can dance

there.

From Romain

The walls of this canteen change colour according to your frame of mind. The trays

which transport food levitate above the ground. There is a distributor with food, which

gives what we ask. Once seated on chairs, the tables fly above the ground and their

occupants can discuss in intimacy.

From Julie

there are massaging leather chairs and chocolate tables. The food is made on site

according to our choice and taste. The walls change colour depending on the number

of students in the room. There are candy dispensers, cakes, sandwiches and a lot of

goodies around the room.

Card Group 3: My ideal/utopian School students, teachers, headmaster/principal.

From Thomas

In my ideal school there are no more than twenty students in every class. It has young

teachers and nice boys and girls. The teachers are well qualified. They are greatly interested in

teaching. They take teachership as a mission in their life. They work in the school with a

missionary spirit. They are the men of character and integrity. They work together with a team-

spirit and with full co-operation and understanding among themselves. The Principal devotes all

his time and energy to the improvement of the school. He has a team of dedicated teachers.

From Romain

The teachers in my school are very nice and we do not write exams. They are always smiling.

This school is full of kind-hearted people who are my friends. All students can learn, teachers

listen to their needs, value the students’ needs. It produces students that not only read and

write but choose!

My ideal school is one where all of the teachers like being there, and enjoy working with kids

and teaching in general. They listen to you, encourage independence.

From Julie

the teachers and students are free to be creative with education. Students can choose what

they want to learn and where. They choose the subject they prefer to study that day. The

teachers teach critical thinking.
