The structure of the Program is illustrated in the graphic with the student at the centre. The Learner Profile (the Why), Areas of Interaction and ATPL (the How) and the subject groups (the What) surround the centerThe IB program curriculum requirements provide for a challenging and well rounded education. Students must take 6 subjects over the course of the 2 year program. While diploma requirements do restrict course choice, because of the size of our program we can offer a variety of course options. The Extended Essay is an additional requirement completed outside of class. The Extended Essay prepares students for the demands of university research and writing. The Approaches to Learning and ToK course provide students with the skills and attitudes to become independent and life long learners. CAS requirements provide students opportunities for extracurricular and service which fosters the holistic development of students, including physical, emotional and character development. Turner Fenton has tremendous number of teams and clubs which students can participate in and put towards their CAS hours10
