What have you learned from your

audience feedback? Evaluation Question 3.

Audience Feedback #1Our first feedback was recorded on video. We interviewed 3 different people and asked 4 different questions, this was to help us develop our video to the next stage of improvements. The audience gave us a detailed but specific answer so that we know exactly what we needed to change for example, one said the lighting was too low and made the video grainy therefore to improve we needed to increase the lighting.

We asked these questions:1. Did you like the concept of our music video? 2. What parts of the video did you like? 3. What parts of the video did you not like? 4. How can we improve our video?

Audience Feedback #2Our second feedback was done by Survey Monkey, this is a website where people are able to create their own questionnaire and collect results about any subject they question about. Survey Monkey is beneficial because it summarises the results of your questionnaire into a data chart. We used this way for feedback because we asked a greater audience about our improved video. As we improved our video, we asked different questions from our previous feedback.

This was our results from the questionnaire. We asked 9 different questions that we thought was suitable for us to be able improve. We used the social media site Facebook, and shared our video to friends and locals to collect our findings. We need this as we wanted a range of ages and genders also a wider audience as previously we only used 3 viewers. At the end of the questionnaire, there is a comment box for the audience in case they had any other opinions.

Why do we need audience feedback?

Audience Feedback is important to a product because you are selling the product to the audience therefore it should suit their needs. For the product to suit their needs, its more likely that you’ll gain a wide range of viewers and to bring in more you’ll have to match the needs to attract them. Although all opinions and views aren’t the same so there is a line to what needs changing. When popular (famous) production teams come to making a video, they don’t take audiences opinions in account because it’d cost a lot to film the parts the viewers don’t like. I have found out that audience feedback is vital to a product because its what improves the product as you develop it to the best you can following your target audiences needs.

Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths Weakness

• Good narrative • Lip Sync • Range of shots • Characters • Use of the outside• Suited genre • Linking between the lyrics and

narrative

• The quality• Use of camera work• Studio surrounding • The link between studio and the

fields• Access to props

I thought I gained more strengths than weaknesses because of the research and planning I produced with my group. The weaknesses is what I have needed to change due to both audience feedback and the strengths is what I have improved well or went well in the first draft.
