Log on at your assigned work station.

Click on the Journalism website and go to the typing

program for 5 minutes.

If you want to raise your caption writing grade, you must

make corrections during the first ten minutes of class and

print out STEP THREE SLIDE ONLY. Make sure you have your

name on the printout.

WHAT ARE WE DOING TODAY?

Click on the file link under Agenda called font

fight.doc.

Save this file to your 047 as last name_font_fight.

Listen to directions. This is due at the end of the

period on Wednesday. You will present on Thursday.

We will have a caption writing test on Friday.

Caption Writing Common Errors

THE EXPANDED CAPTION SHOULD HAVE A LEAD WITH THE WHO WHAT WHERE WHEN WHY.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE QUOTES OUTSIDE THE COMMA OR PERIOD.

PLACE A PERIOD AFTER A SENTENCE. CAPITALIZE THE BEGINNING OF A SENTENCE. BEGIN A NEW PARAGRAPH WITH QUOTES. DO NOT ADD EXTRA WORDS (REDUNDANCY). GET TO THE POINT.
