A huge thank you to the P&C committee for the fabulous job they did in coordinating the event. Special thanks to Michelle Oxenbridge as well as Miss Bradley, Mrs Palmer, Mrs McGrath and Mrs Cheetham. Thank you to the students for their hard work in preparing and running stalls too! Parents, grandparents and other community members helped in so many ways to make it the success that it was. The comments made by visitors to the Fair were so positive. The amount raised was over $13 600 which is outstanding. Thank you so much to everyone. Term 3 has been filled with so many highlights for the students. I thank all our school staff, as well as parent and community volunteers, for working to make Westlawn Public School such a fabulous place for our students to enjoy learning, and to develop their character and values. Our students leave Westlawn at the end of Year 6 able to hold their heads proudly, knowing that they have made a valuable contribution to Westlawn, and that they are prepared for the challenges of high school and beyond. We aim to create students with strong values who will be worthwhile citizens who act responsibly and respectfully. We provide a strong foundation for future learning and leadership. As the Term draws to an end I would like to thank staff and parents for a terrific Term 3. It has been filled with so much activity and exciting learning opportunities for our students. A wonderful team effort. If you are having a holiday, safe travelling and we look forward to seeing you all in Term 4. Students and teachers return for Term 4 on Monday 9th October.

School Plan We are in the process of developing our School Plan for the next three year cycle (2018-2020). In our plan we have input from the School Executive, teachers and School Community members. Each school develops their individual plan according to the needs of the school and it assists in providing continuity in areas of quality learning, teaching and leadership.

Yesterday, Pat Cavanagh (Principal School Leadership) worked with some staff members to begin the planning process. Next term Pat has offered to meet with interested parents to provide an opportunity for them to understand and have input into the planning process.

We have organised Wednesday 18th October from 3:15pm - 4:15pm for the visit. If you would like to attend could you fill in the form below for catering purposes and return it to the school office. This is the only time we could organise this session with Pat as the area he supports is vast and we have been lucky to access this time for our parents/carers.

Infants Disco The Infants Disco is on Friday after our Infants Assembly. Children can wear mufti. Children must wear clothing which covers their shoulders (no singlet tops or shoestring straps) and they need to wear covered footwear (no thongs). Newsletter Online This year we are working towards sending our School Newsletter by email only, therefore eliminating paper copies. There will be a paper copy available to collect from the office if parents/carers are unable to access the Newsletter by email or on the website. If you are not already receiving the Newsletter by email could you please fill in the slip below and return it to the School Office as soon as possible. Woolworths Earn and Learn Thank you for supporting our school with this promotion which finishes today. In the school foyer, near the school office there is a collection box for stickers or sheets of stickers. We also have a box located at Woolworths in Shoppingworld with our school name and logo where you can also place the stickers. Could you place the stickers in the boxes as soon as possible. Thank you to Shayna Delaforce who has been counting all the stickers to enter online.
