NOTICE is hereby given that all owners or occupiersof land situated within the above Vermin District arerequired to commence poisoning and satisfactorily de-stroying all rabbits on their properties, and the roadsbounding or intersecting same, from the 1st January,1932, and- continue such work until the 31st March,1932, or longer, as determined by the Board. The meansto be adopted shall be as follows :-A furrow not lessthan four miles in length shall be drawn on each holdingof 1,000 acres or less, in which poisoned baits must belaid not more than four feet apart, once a week, com-mencing and continuing from the 1st January, 1932.Owners or occupiers of holdings over 1,000 acres shallhe required to do additional mileage of poisoning at therate of four miles per 1,000 acres,, calculated in propor-tion to the area held over 1,000 acres. In addition, allburrows on cleared land or roads shall receive effectivefumigation and be filled in.

THE VERMIN ACT, 1919.NOTICE is hereby given that the 15th day of January,1932, is the prescribed day on which general and system-atic destruction of rabbits by poisoning shall be com-menced on all holdings by every owner and occupier ofland within the Beverley Road District, and upon allroads bounding on or intersecting all holdings, and shallbe continued at regular intervals, so long as there re-mains evidence of rabbits.

The means to be adopted arc: - Poisoning by phos-phorous poison baits mechanically cut or laid by meansof poison cart or poison trailer. A furrow shah be madeof not less than two inches in depth and not less inlength than at the ratio of one mile for each and every1,000 acres of holding, or part of 1,000 acres. In thisfurrow baits of approved phosphorous rabbit poisonshall, be laid at not more than 6 feet apart throughout

entirentire length of furrow or trail. Also fumigatingwarrens to be carried out as required.

Fresh furrows must be made and fresh baits laid so-long as there is evidence of live rabbits on any hold-ings or portions thereof, or as required by the Inspector.
