Using Data to Improve Instruction

• Create a district data study group to compile and analyze longitudinal data

• Enhance the work of building-based data teams

• Strengthen the communication of data reviewed and analyzed at the building and district level through meetings, website, and digital newsletter

• Share patterns of data through parent education

• Establish a one-to-one technology environment K-12 by 2017

• Schedule multiple site visits each year to districts in order to investigate best practices in a one-to-one deployment

• Support ongoing technology-related professional development

• Establish technology-related parent workshops

• Provide childcare at evening events• Distribute all correspondence in English and

Spanish

Strategic Planning CouncilAdditional Recommendations:

• The Strategic Planning Council should meet at least twice each year to monitor the progress of the action plans.

• An annual report should be made to the Board of Education and community on the progress toward achieving goals set in the plan.

• A 4th Strategic Planning Council should be assembled during the 2016-17 school year to develop a subsequent plan for 2017-2020.
