Wesleyan Village is a Christian community for senior adults
where residents can live in a safe, clean, wholesome and attractive environment that contributes to
their spiritual, physical, emo-tional, and relational wellbeing.
WESLEYAN VILLAGE FEBRUARY 2015
.GOOD NEWS!
We have been working with a Christian company that is interested in con-
structing and managing an assisted living facility for us. Assisted living is
private pay and our desire is to keep the cost of occupancy as low as pos-
sible for persons from Wesleyan Village who might want to move into
such a facility so they can continue to enjoy life in the Village. In order to
make this endeavor financially feasible, the company has applied for a
nursing home certificate of need that has recently become available in
Hernando County. They would build a facility with separate skilled care
and assisted living sections. The State of Florida will announce the award
of the certificate in mid-February. Please make this a matter of prayer.
This project has the potential of being a “game changer” for us.
Meanwhile, the company wanted to locate the facility on Cortez Boule-
vard for easy access and visibility. The corner lots at Cortez and Redbud,
adjacent to the property we purchased a couple of years ago, would be
ideal. We cannot afford to purchase the lots or to assume additional debt,
so I counseled with the Wesleyan Investment Foundation about the feasi-
bility of continuing negotiations with the company with the hope of hav-
ing an assisted living facility. WIF felt that we needed the corner lots
along with the other lots along Redbud on either side of our entrance into
Epworth Estate whether or not this project was successful. WIF has nego-
tiated the purchase of six lots along Redbud, beginning at the corner with
Cortez. Our funds are not involved and we have no additional debt. The
land will be held by WIF and be available to us if and when we need it.
This makes it possible for us to make the site available for a first-class
skilled care/assisted living unit!
The vision of adding an assisted living facility to the ministries of
Wesleyan Village has been around for a number of years. It is now closer
to being realized than ever before. If God is in it, we want to help make it
a reality. If He isn’t in it, we don’t want to be in it either. So pray that all
of the details can be worked out within the plan of God for Wesleyan Vil-
lage.

VILLAGE SQUARE NEARS COMPLETION
Step by step the Village Square progresses toward completion. The
recent addition of five tables and umbrellas along with 20 lawn chairs
decorated in the village logo colors brings life to the Square.
Yet to be added is a pergola and landscaping. The maintenance crew
is busying themselves in the construction of the pergola. A landscape
professional will help us enhance the site.
Thanks to all for your patience.

SHOW PALACE DINNER SHOW, HUDSON, FL
Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is transported to modern-day New York City, as
two young idealistic lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the
"American" Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world
of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most innovative, heart-wrenching and
relevant musical drama of our time.
