We see a track back medium shot, which leads to a point of view shot, and we hear Asynchronous sound of people speaking nearby. The medium shot is used to show Identity and to show the location behind him, while the track back is to show that he is walking, and the Asynchronous is used to remind the audience that he is near the city centre. This shot give the impression that the character might have a memory about the alleyway he is facing and also makes the audience wonder what is going to occur in the next shot. We see a straight cut to point of view shots, which also tilt up, and we hear a diegetic sound of the wind. The point of view shots are used to show what the character is looking at in his perspective while the tilt up is used to show the reality of the film as the character starts looking at the floor first then slowly looks up across the alleyway, the point of view is specially stylised to do the motion what the character does. These point of view shots make the audience feel as if they are the character at this moment, as they will follow the motions that the camera does. After the point of view shots we see a medium close up with a flash effect added on. The medium close up is used to show face expressions from the character, while the flash effect is used to show that the character could possibly have a flashback of memories to do with the alleyway, however it isn’t clear that he could be thinking of memories as the shot is subtle. This shot make the audience wonder what the characters memories will be and also makes them think that the characters mood isn’t understandable. After the flash transition goes off we see a variety of jump cuts with a nondiegetic clock ticking and a “boom” sound added over the top, and we also see a colour effect. These jump cuts are used to show how time flies by in the flashback shots and the colour effect is used to show how the characters past life was colourful and now it’s dull and miserable. The colourful flashback shots are juxtaposed with the cigarette as the location looks colourful and happy but he is smoking so therefore it causes a bad atmosphere. However the nondiegetic “boom” sound is used to make the shot seem very jumpy and also makes the shot look very fast and helps with the effect of time going really fast in this flashback, while the clock is used to show that this is the past and therefore it isn’t the real life. This makes the audience see the character bad side and also shows them that the character has two different sides. We see still medium shots of the character shaking his head and walks away. This shot is used to capture the face expression the character has and also shows what he does after seeing his flashbacks. This make the audience see the difference in the character as he was a bad person in the flashbacks but in reality he looks lonely and weak.

We  see  a  track  back  medium  shot,  which  leads  to  a  point  of  view  shot,  and

we  hear  Asynchronous  sound  of  people  speaking  nearby.  The  medium  shot  is  used  to  show  Identity  and  to  show  the  location  behind  him,  while  the

track  back  is  to  show  that  he  is  walking,  and  the  Asynchronous  is  used  to  remind  the  audience  that  he  is  near  the  city  centre.  This  shot  give  the

impression  that  the  character  might  have  a  memory  about  the  alleyway  he  is  facing  and  also  makes  the  audience  wonder  what  is  going  to  occur  in  the

next  shot.

We  see  a  straight  cut  to  point  of  view  shots,  which  also  tilt

up,  and  we  hear  a  diegetic  sound  of  the  wind.  The  point  of  view  shots  are  used  to  show  what  the  character  is  looking  at

in  his  perspective  while  the  tilt  up  is  used  to  show  the  reality  of  the  film  as  the  character  starts  looking  at  the  floor

first  then  slowly  looks  up  across  the  alleyway,  the  point  of  view  is  specially  stylised  to  do  the  motion  what  the

character  does.  These  point  of  view  shots  make  the  audience  feel  as  if  they  are  the  character  at  this  moment,  as

they  will  follow  the  motions  that  the  camera  does.

After  the  point  of  view  shots  we  see  a  medium  close  up  with  a  flash

effect  added  on.  The  medium  close  up  is  used  to  show  face  expressions  from  the  character,  while  the  flash  effect  is  used  to  show  that  the

character  could  possibly  have  a  flashback  of  memories  to  do  with  the  alleyway,  however  it  isn’t  clear  that  he  could  be  thinking  of  memories  as

the  shot  is  subtle.  This  shot  make  the  audience  wonder  what  the  characters  memories  will  be  and  also  makes  them  think  that  the

characters  mood  isn’t  understandable.

After  the  flash  transition  goes  off  we  see  a  variety  of  jump  cuts  with  a  non-‐diegetic

clock  ticking  and  a  “boom”  sound  added  over  the  top,  and  we  also  see  a  colour  effect.  These  jump  cuts  are  used  to  show  how  time  flies  by  in  the  flashback  shots

and  the  colour  effect  is  used  to  show  how  the  characters  past  life  was  colourful  and  now  it’s  dull  and  miserable.  The  colourful  flashback  shots  are  juxtaposed  with

the  cigarette  as  the  location  looks  colourful  and  happy  but  he  is  smoking  so  therefore  it  causes  a  bad  atmosphere.  However  the  non-‐diegetic  “boom”  sound  is

used  to  make  the  shot  seem  very  jumpy  and  also  makes  the  shot  look  very  fast  and  helps  with  the  effect  of  time  going  really  fast  in  this  flashback,  while  the  clock

is  used  to  show  that  this  is  the  past  and  therefore  it  isn’t  the  real  life.  This  makes  the  audience  see  the  character  bad  side  and  also  shows  them  that  the  character

has  two  different  sides.

We  see  still  medium  shots  of  the  character  shaking  his  head  and  walks  away.  This  shot  is  used  to  capture  the  face  expression  the  character  has  and

also  shows  what  he  does  after  seeing  his  flashbacks.  This  make  the  audience  see  the  difference  in  the  character  as  he  was  a  bad  person  in  the

flashbacks  but  in  reality  he  looks  lonely  and  weak.
