We revolutionize manufacturing supply chains the same way e-commerce has transformed retail
What are we?
● Cloud-based: we are a digital supply chain service provider with a scalable SaaS platform.
● A focus on supply chain optimization: we take the supply chain data as the starting point, helping minimize financial and material waste.
● End-to-end responsibility: dedicated customer service with end-to-end responsibility across the supply chain. From part identification to design, production and delivery.
● Not a marketplace: we offer a one-stop-shop, not a marketplace for 3D printing service providers.
● No 3D printing company: we don’t own 3D printers, we connect you to industrial 3D printing facilities.

What is Additive Manufacturing?
3D printing is a process of building an object one thin layer at a time. It is fundamentally additive rather than subtractive in nature. The terms “additive manufacturing” and “3D printing” both refer to creating an object by sequentially adding build material in successive cross-sections, one stacked upon another.
One key difference is the industrial vs consumer focus. While consumers typically focus on the singular vs mass production of 3D-printed objects, businesses increasingly use additive manufacturing for the large-scale production of end-use objects.
Today’s laser sintering machines produce components and functional prototypes from both thermoplasticsand metal superalloys.
Increasingly, manufacturers see additive manufacturing as a cost-saving alternative in certain situations where CNC machining, injection molding and investment casting were used in the past. Sometimes, a single AM-produced component replaces many parts, reducing assembly times and simplifying supply chain

When is AM applicable?
Supply Chain
● Service Life Time extension
● If reduction of lead time is needed
● Dealing with unpredictable demand
● Strive for TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) reduction
● Prevent a last time buy decision
● Prevent downtime of equipment
● Efficiency in tooling cost
● Support of sustainable approach
● Areas with Custom/Tax challenges

Technical
● Demand for Integration of functions
● Weight reduction by optimised (bionic) design
● Shorter design, process, and production cycles
● Production close to demand, agility
● Sustainable use of materials
● Need of custom-built designs
● Direct vs Indirect production of parts
● Complex products can be mass produced without
high fixed-cost capital investments and at a lower
variable cost than traditional methods
Minimizing downtime for construction equipment manufacturerChallengeThis capital goods manufacturer, faced machine downtime due to unavailability of this part.
SolutionThis part was selected for Additive Manufacturing and run through our platform to provide an immediate solution for downtime situation From Part Assessment, File Conversion, Production, up to Quality control, raw material certificate, sample test, dimensional check and delivery by DiManEx
Results● Equipment downtime was immediately addressed and reduced to 2
weeks● Lead time for spare part procurement reduced to 7 days

Minimizing downtime for an Oil and Gas company, lead time reduction.ChallengeThis oil and gas company faced long lead times to get spare parts for key equipment.
SolutionSelection of manufacturing partners, production, post-processing and test samples through DiManEx. The part was re-designed through our platform to improve efficiency. Quality control, raw material certificate, and dimensional check performed through DiManEx.
Results● Lead times reduced from 3-6 months to 20 days

Dutch Army secures spare parts for Aging AssetsChallengeThe Royal Netherlands Army needed to secure a door handle replacement for one of its combat vehicles, the Fennek. The traditional supplier has a high lead time and a minimum order quantity (MOQ) that would result in overstocking and eventual waste.
SolutionThe Army’s Material Stock Logistic Command worked with DiManEx to produce the door handle on demand, using 3D printing. The 3D printed handle was just as strong as the original, and benefited from more elasticity.
Results● Optimized equipment uptime and utilization ● No overstocking ● More sustainable part sourcing resulting from less waste

Household appliances group secures spare parts for Aging AssetsChallengeIn order to increase parts availability Electrolux, as part of their sustainability program, is prolonging their service life-cycle service. Parts availability, long lead-times, high MOQ’s and lack of tooling is the challenge to be resolved.
SolutionBy making use of the DiManEx scanning, reverse engineering and printing services Electrolux is able to live up to the promise of the extended service life cycle.
Results● Increased parts availability● Short lead time● No overstocking ● More sustainable part sourcing resulting from less waste

Lightyear One secures first series parts
ChallengeLightyear is a Dutch company that is producing the first long-range car powered by solar energy, aptly called the Lightyear One. They were facing limited time for development, limited budgets and a dynamic engineering environment (customization, late changes).SolutionBy using a wide variety of AM-technologies we were able to secure not only the protobuild but at the same time create flexibility in design (late changes) and volume against no investment cost.
Results● No investments ● Short lead times● Flexibility to adapt to late changes
