Compare, feature for feature,

you will see that Cameron’s

Centric 15 and Centric 15 EX

Mudline Suspension Systems are

your best choices for drilling,

temporary abandonment and

production tieback operations at

the mudline.

The Cameron Centric 15 Mudline SuspensionSystem is a proven, dependable system fordrilling, temporary abandonment and produc-tion tieback operations.

System Features¥ Deep stack-down configuration eliminates

trash/debris traps and improves the reliabilityand efficiency of tieback operations.

¥ Separate thread and seal areas for runningand tieback minimize the risk of damage tocritical areas.

¥ High-pressure and high casing hanger loadcapacities increase system versatility.

¥ Patented washout technique for large diame-ter casing strings eliminates pipe rotation.

¥ Washout is possible with conductor set in tension.

¥ Unique split-ring design prevents damage tocage during compression in wellhead, accom-modates debris and provides two point centralization.

¥ All threads prealign to facilitate installationand tieback.

¥ Split ring hanger reciprocation is achievedwithout recovery for resetting.

Installation Features¥ All running tools feature right-hand release

for ease of abandonment.¥ All hangers incorporate dual centralization to

ensure concentricity.¥ Washout ports located in the running tools.¥ Low torque metal seals with resilient backup

ensure seal integrity. ¥ External test ports for hanger/running tool

interface provide means for testing prior toinstallation.

¥ Torque tool profiles in all running tools.

Temporary Abandonment Features¥ A single temporary abandonment cap covers

both production bore and annulus, locking thehangers in place.

¥ Cap can be run and retrieved inside surface casing.

¥ Single-trip cap design saves a trip duringinstallation and retrieval.

¥ Stab-in temporary abandonment caps standard.

¥ Handling profile extended for clear access.

Tieback Features¥ Robust threads ensure damage-free

connection.¥ Right-hand make-up for tieback tools ensures

ease of installation.¥ Torque profiles available in tieback tools.¥ Low torque metal-to-metal seals with resilient

back-up ensure sealing integrity.¥ Ability to tieback to the 13 3/8Ó casing prior to

removing cap ensures safety, saves rig time.

The Cameron Centric 15Mudline System incorpo-rates a patented washouttechnique which eliminatesthe need to rotate the casing. In this system, a washsleevein the running tool can beopened and closed using atorque tool run as part of thecement stinger. Since thesleeve is not affected by riserbending loads, it can beoperated at all times usinglow torque rates. Also, thewashports can be openedwith the cement string inplace, minutes after comple-tion of cementing.

1. Hanger is inserted through wellhead into casing. Split ringis retracted. Setting ring andfluted hanger section preventpresetting.

2. Split ring arrives at hanger profile where it easily expandsprior to landing.

3. Split ring lands in hanger prior to hanger suspensionon load ring.

4. Hanger seats on split ring; setting ring is forced into fully expanded position. Hanger is suspended parallel to the receiving profile.

Washout Procedure

With more flexible casingstrings that are less prone tohigh manipulating torque, washout ports on the surfaceand production string run-ning tools are opened byrotating the casing. Theports are designed to ensurecleaning action.

The Centric 15 temporary abandonment cap protects thecasing hangers and tieback profiles from the environmentduring the abandoned period. It is installed in the productionstring mudline hanger sealingthat bore and the next casingannulus. The cap is engaged inthe 9 5/8Ó hanger with a stab-type threaded ring and locksitself in the 133/8Ó hanger with a device activated by the down-ward motion of the cap. Duringrecovery, trapped pressure canbe vented and its source identi-fied. Other caps and trash covers are available for largerhangers.

A mudline hanger is used tosuspend casing strings whichwill not be tied back to thesurface during tieback opera-tions. This option allows operators the flexibility ofinstalling additional strings of casing as needed withoutthe need for additional risersto surface and the handlingtime associated with surfacewellhead equipment.

The Centric 15 System uses threaded or stab-in type tieback connectionson the smaller sizes and tapered threads on larger sizes where maximumbending and tensile forces are exerted. Tieback threads and seal areasare not used during drilling and abandonment.

Centric 15 EX Mudline Wellhead System

The Cameron Centric 15 EX Mudline SuspensionSystem is an economical, stack-down system. Itsconfiguration is based on the Centric 15, but ashorter profile makes it ideal for explorationapplications.

System Features¥ Stack-down configuration eliminates

trash/debris traps and improves the reliabilityand efficiency of tieback operations.

¥ Separate thread and seal areas minimize possibility of damage to critical areas.

¥ High-pressure and high casing hanger loadcapacities increase system versatility.

¥ Optional patented washout technique for largediameter casing strings eliminates pipe rotation.

¥ Unique split-ring design prevents damage to cageduring compression in wellhead, accommodatingdebris and provides two point centralization.

¥ All threads throughout the system prealign toensure precise installation and tieback.

¥ Split ring hanger reciprocation is achieved withoutrecovery or resetting.

Installation Features¥ All running tools feature right-hand release for

ease of installation.¥ Hangers can incorporate dual centralization to

ensure concentricity.¥ Washout ports are located in the running tools.¥ Low torque metal seals with resilient backup

ensure seal integrity. ¥ External test ports for hanger/running tool

interface provide means for testing prior toinstallation.

Temporary Abandonment Features¥ A temporary abandonment cap covers the

production bore and incorporates a simplecheck valve.

¥ Threaded cap design standard. Optional stab-indesign available.

¥ Pressure retaining or vented cap designs available.

¥ Handling profile extended for clear access.

Tieback Features¥ Robust threads ensure damage-free connection.¥ Right-hand make-up for surface and

production tieback tools ensures ease of installation.

¥ Torque profiles available in tieback tools.¥ Low torque metal-to-metal seals with resilient

back-up ensure sealing integrity.

over Cameron and other mud-line products.

¥ Offers minimum cost and low maintenance.

¥ Tree designs are available for single or multiple string comple-tions.

¥ Reliable and field-proven failsafe gate valves are available ineither a stacked or compositevalve block configuration.

¥ Tree design offers the option of completing inside 9 5Ú8" or 7" casing.

¥ Primary metal-to-metal seals are used at all environmentalinterfaces.

¥ Tree features a self-orientingtubing hanger with positive lockdown and anti-rotation capabilities.

¥ SCSSV lines are independently controlled.

¥ Tree can be readily maintainedwith diver assistance.
