Reservation in Recruitment
• For recruitment of posts on all India basis, in Group “A”,
the applicable reservation is 7.5%
• For recruitment of posts in Group “C” & “D” theapplicable reservation in the respective states is followedas per Govt. orders.
• Reservation for STs is since inception.
• Member belonging to SC/ST is included in SelectionCommittee / Board for recruitment.
• Age relaxation by 5 years.
• No fee is being charged from SC/ST candidates.
• Re-imbursement of Rail/ Bus fare for attending written tests/interviews.
• Preparation of separate merit list of ST candidates forinterviews.
• For posts in Executive cadre where ONGC conducts its owntests the candidates have to meet a pre-defined passingpercentage. Such percentage is suitably relaxed in case of STcandidates to ensure sufficient number of ST candidates to fillup the reserved posts.

500 SCHOLARSHIP TO SC/ST STUDENTS
• ONGC has introduced 500 scholarship for meritorious SC/ST students.
• 50% of scholarship have been earmarked for Girls student .
• An amount of ₹ 48,000/- per annum would be paid as scholarship amount to each student for the duration of their respective courses.
• Funds of ₹ 2.40 Crores are allocated for SC/ST scholarships. .
