The Elementary Control of Infection Course- Consistent Delivery

• The REHIS Infection Control PowerPoint for Scotland CD ROM must be used in the delivery of the course.

• Centres must register with REHIS and be granted approval before they are eligible to receive the CD ROM

The Elementary Control of Infection Course- Presenter qualifications

• A Control of Infection qualification acceptable to REHIS

• Existing REHIS Food Safety presenters can apply if they complete the Cleanliness Champions Programme

Elementary Food Hygiene Refresher

Course

The structure• Based on a workbook

• 3.5 hours minimum duration

• Two parts:-

1. Knowledge refresher

2. Assessment

The Candidate Pack• Refresher workbook

• The Food Hygiene Handbook

• ‘Refresher’ Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate

• £10 per candidate

E learning

• Not an on line course

• Only available through approved centres

• Centre must provide tutor support

• No on line examination

• Same examinations

• Centre must provide the examination and invigilator
