A one-page statement which expresses interest in working in health environment contexts is also an optional inclusion. There is no briefing package available at this stage and there are no required submission forms. Please note:

L to R - Judy Rose, Linda Baranov, Juliet Holden, Marion Wait, Apple Yin (Archibald finalist 2010) Local artist Judy Rose exhibits in Sydney Following a successful exhibition in Brisbane in 2009, local artist Judy Rose was invited to join a group exhibition at the Hornsby Art Gallery in March-April this year. The Circle of Five exhibition ran for three weeks and included a diverse range of traditional and contemporary oils, acrylics, mixed media and prints from five artists: Judy Rose, Linda Baranov, Juliet Holden, Marion Wait and Apple Yin. The opening of the exhibition coincided with the announcement of the finalists for the Archibald Prize and the group was very excited to learn that Apple had been selected. The official opening was held on Saturday 20 March with Joanna Joyce, Cultural Development Officer of Hornsby Shire Arts as guest speaker. Judy’s work for the exhibition elaborated on her exploration of pain – physical, psychological and societal – and the search for resolution. Media included varying combinations of embossed paper, x-rays, acupuncture needles, thread, steel mesh, and netting.
