Attendance/ Transportation

• Doctor note required for excused illness• Students counted tardy after 7:50 am• Transportation changes must be in writing

with the parent signature• No emails, phone calls, or faxes • All early dismissals must be handled in the

office

*Feel free to join us for lunch. No need to send a note. Just sign in and wait in the breezeway. You may join our line as we pass by.

Take Home Folder• Please review behavior and initial

daily.• Look for library books weekly. • PLEASE put any money/notes in the

zipper pouch and label what the money is for.

• Popcorn words on a ring will be in the zipper pouch.

• Students will receive another set of words when they pass all 10 words off.

Book in a Bag/Reading Log

• Reading log in the back of the take home folder to be completed as books are read.

• Store books in the plastic bag that is provided.

• Students will replace the book with a new one when they return it.

Report Cards Conferences

• See parent Guide to Report Cards

• Read prior to conference• Conferences in October

Responsibility/ BehaviorIncentives:• Stickers, sparkles• Compliments – when word is spelled, Mrs.

Brenner brings in a special treat.• Extra Recess

Consequences:• Verbal warnings• Pink, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red

system• Note in behavior log if student ends the day on

orange or red• Loss of privileges if moved to red
