The golf course occupies a bird’s nest position high amongst the trees in the exclusive resort of Sotogrande. The course was founded in 2003 and since its inception has played host to a number of world renowned golfing tournaments including the European Nations Cup and the Copa del Rey de España. La Reserva Club is the course that epitomises the sophisticated and contemporary Sotogrande experience more thanany other.

The 18-hole, 7,400 yard course and Par 72 was designed by the famous American architect and golf course designer Cabell B. Robinson. Carved into the hillside the views are either expansive, overlooking Sotogrande and the Mediterranean or upward into the mountains and trees of the estate and the Andalucian countryside beyond. With wide fairways, golfers are free to open their shoulders from tee-off and take aim at this generous course. La Reserva Club manages to balance aesthetics with challenges, resultingin a beautiful course suitable for both novices and pros alike.

El campo de golf está situado en un lugar privilegiado y elevado, rodeado de árboles en el exclusivo paraje de Sotogrande. Este campo fue fundado en 2003 y desde su creación ha sido sede de reconocidos torneos como el ‘European Nations Cup’ y la Copa del Rey de España. La Reserva Club constituye la máxima esencia de lo que representa la sofisticación y contemporaneidad de Sotogrande.

Este campo de 18 hoyos, 7,400 yardas y Par 72, fue diseñado por el famoso arquitecto y diseñador de campos de golf, el americano Cabell B. Robinson. Su ubicación en la ladera de la montaña nos permite apreciar unas amplias vistas de Sotogrande y el mar Mediterráneo y hacia las montañas y árboles típicos del paisaje de campo andaluz. Con amplias calles, los golfistas pueden abrir ampliamente el hombro desde la salida y apuntar alto en este imponente campo. La Reserva Club maneja a la perfección el balance entre la estética y el reto deportivo, resultando en un precioso campo que acoge por igual a Pros y amateurs.

Manuel Piñero enjoyed a spectacular career, winning nine titles on the Tour, including the celebrated 1977 British PGA Championship. He featured in the top ten on the European Tour Order of Merit five times and had two Ryder Cup appearances. This impressive record, combined with his continuing passion for the game, is why we are honoured and delighted to have him at La Reserva Club. Together, our mission is to ensure La Reserva Club continues to innovate and retain its place as one of the finest and most celebrated golf clubs in all of Europe.

Manuel Piñero cuenta con una espectacular trayectoria en el mundo del golf, habiendo ganado 9 títulos del Tour, incluyendo el importantísimo ‘British PGA Championship’ en 1977. Ha formado parte en cinco ocasiones del Top-10 en la clasificación ‘European Tour Order of Merit’ y ha jugado dos veces la Ryder Cup. Este impresionante palmarés junto a su interminable pasión por este deporte es lo que tanto nos enorgullece al contar con él en La Reserva Club. In 2017, the Academy is being established to provide opportunities for golfers of every age and skillset to benefit for the experience, knowledge and talent of Manuel Piñero and his team.

The Academy will offer a number of Junior programs and classes during the year, as well as one-to-one tutorials on every aspect of the game.

Detailed information on the Academy will be available within the Clubhouse.

The partnership between True Spec Golf and La Reserva Club, enables La Reserva Club to join Geneva and Scotland’s Turnberry as a permanent home to this elite level fitting experience. The objective of True Spec Golf is to identify the very best set of clubs a player needs with which to perform at their best. They use industry-leading technology to quickly identify club components that will provide each of our clients a measurable improvement to their game.

They also offer custom services such as wedge grinding, special finishes, club stamping and paint fill.

Gastronomic excellence is provided at ‘L’Olive de La Reserva’ with a constantly changing menu which offers some of the finest Andalusian and European cuisine to be found in this part of southwest Spain.

L’Olive takes on seasonal specialties including tuna and other Mediterraneanfish, meat, fresh vegetables, herbs andwild mushrooms in our “a la carte menu”, special outdoor grill nights, regular family brunch, sundays roast and tailored menus for events in the restaurant and champagne and piano lounge.
