Art Elective Programme (Express Students)
• To grow the potential and talent of students across awider range of domains at the secondary level, MOEhas set up AEP and MEP centres from 2016, to caterfor students in non-AEP/MEP schools.
• The secondary level AEP and MEP are four-yearprogrammes. These programmes aim to develop well-rounded leaders who are supportive of the arts, andfocus on in-depth and critical learning to deepenstudents’ conceptual understanding of Art/Music.Students in the AEP/MEP will take Higher Art/HigherMusic at O-Level.

• The MEP seeks to provide academically able andmusically talented students the opportunity for an in-depth study of music. It also aims to develop well-rounded leaders who are supportive of the arts.
• The syllabus covers a range of musical styles fromWestern and Asian music traditions. Students willparticipate in Composing, Listening and Performingactivities and develop an appreciation of the culturaldiversity in music.
• At the end of the four-year programme, students will sitfor Higher Music at O-Level, which can be used in lieu ofa Humanities subject for admission to Junior Colleges.
