Policies/Procedures Water Bottles: encouraged to bring, but please remind students to bring

them home to clean them

Snacks: such as crackers w/ cheese, fruit, cereal bars or dry cereal, pudding, etc. They are allowed to eat at any point during the day

Birthdays: RNE has a no food policy for birthdays. Students may bring in something special (sticker, pencils, etc) for their birthday

Attendance: Absences: Please send in a note with your child when he/she returns

to school. It is counted as an unexcused absence until a note has been given to the teacher.

Tardies: Must sign-in students in the office when coming in late. Early check outs for anything other than medical, legal or religious will count as a tardy. 

Policies/Procedures Continued Early Checkouts: No check outs after 2:00.  During dismissal the

office is closed, unless there is an emergency.

Transportation Changes: In the event that your child needs to go home a different way or be checked out early, please send a note with your child.

AGENDAHomework is listed in this daily

Students should make sure they bring agendas home and back to school each day. They take agendas to Block 1 and Block 2 classes.

Parents should check this everyday! Look for notice of tests and long-term assignments.

Text books may be brought home any day, but don’t forget that textbooks are also online.

4th Grade HomeworkHomework is designed for practice of skills taught in

class

Given Monday through Thursday

It is your child’s responsibility to keep track of his/her daily homework.

Homework is checked daily in class. If a student doesn’t have their homework, they should still complete it and turn it in late.

Homework, classwork, and quizzes will be sent home in their

“take home” folder

Tests, projects, and final writing assessments will be sent home to

be signed and returned

Grades can be checked anytime in Home Access

A print out of grades will be sent home at the end of every month,

starting in September

The right thing to do…Students have a checkbook that they keep in

their binder. They begin with a certain amount of money . They can either earn or lose 50 cents- $1.00 based on daily behavior.

At the end of the 1st 9 weeks students may earn the MEGA PRIZE.

CLINIC

All medications must be administered through the clinic. Appropriate forms must be completed.

Please be aware that the clinic is limited in the care that they can give.

You are welcome to leave over the counter medications in the clinic designated with your child’s name.

This past winter the GA Board of Education voted to rename the ELA and Math standards to the Georgia Standards for Excellence (GSE). Small revisions were made and to be implemented this academic school year.
