MISSISSAUGA STUDENT UNION (MSU)Student Council members are nominated or elected to positions. They provide leadership, address students’ concerns, and work to improve school climate. They run fun events and support our community through volunteer activities.

PRIDEA senior leadership team that is made up of grade 11 and 12 students whose purpose is to build school spirit, enhance character development, and demonstrate student leadership through the characteristics of productivity, respect, intelligence, determination and empathy.

LINK CREWGrade 11 and 12 students serve as leaders and mentors to the incoming grade 9 students. Orientation activities provide a positive transition from middle school to high school.

CANCER SOCIETY’S ANNUAL DAFFODILS CAMPAIGN

MSS participates every January in the Mississauga Cancer Society’s Daffodils campaign to raise funds for cancer awareness and research.

MSS & THE UNITED WAY OF PEEL

MSS supports the UNITED WAY campaign to raise awareness for the needs of the Peel community and to fundraise to help various Peel charities achieve their annual goals . Activities include silent auctions, bake sales and student performances.

TERRY FOX

MSS, since its opening, has been a supporter of the Terry Fox Foundation. The focus has been on whole-school participation accomplished through the Annual Terry Fox Challenge in which clubs, classes and teams compete in a relay-style 10 kilometer race.

VOLUNTEERING

Like all secondary school students in the province, MSS students are required to complete 40 hours of volunteer service in the community in order to graduate.
