We have been thinking a lot about
money this week and when it
comes to money we must
remember to keep it safe. Can
you think about times when you
have received money? Maybe a
birthday or doing some chores
around the house. What did you
do with it? Maybe you put it in
the bank or in your money box,
maybe you bought something you
had really wanted with it.
Whatever you did it is important
that we know how to keep money
Carry on with the work pack. Another lesson on computing today!!
How do internet and search engines
work? We use the search engines when

How to create digital video and audio
The development of digital video has
made it easy to create your own film on
your home computer or tablet.
Before digital there was analogue video
and, before that, film. Film was very
time-consuming to edit afterwards. You
would have to cut it into pieces and stick
it together with tape to make an edit.
Now you can take an analogue source,
such as a video or audio tape, and
capture it on a computer. This converts
the information into a digital format
made up of numbers which a computer
can understand and store. This process
is known as ‘digitisation’.

How do you make a good app?
The application programs that run on
tablets and smartphones are called ‘apps’.
Normally apps are programs that have
simple functions and they may only do
one or two things. Games are very
popular apps but you can also have
messaging apps, photo apps, health apps
etc.
Sameena interviews Jaimie and Emma
about their app, Pitch Pals.
