Monday – Task 1 (RE)
Eid al – Fitr (May 24th – May 27th)

Task: Explain in your own words what Eid al-Fitr is and how it is celebrated. Use key words
from what you have read and explain why it is important.
Challenge:
1. During Eid, Muslims may receive cards to celebrate. Can you make a card to
celebrate Eid?
2. On the next page is the recipe to make Eid biscuits. We understand that at the
moment this may be a difficult task, however it is there if you wish to try it or save
the recipe for the future.
Tuesday – Task 2 (Science)
How does sound travel?
Experiment: You will need rice, a drum (tupper wear or cling film over a bowl will also work)
and a beater. Put rice on the drum and beat it, what happens to the rice? Why do you think
it happens?
Lesson:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/ztwkjxs Watch this clip to see how sound travels
Task: Draw a diagram of how sound travels from an instrument to the human ear, or use the
cut and stick sheet on this page
Challenge: Create a drama or role play to show how sound travels
Wednesday – Task 3 (PE)
Yoga and mindfulness
Yoga poses are a great way to strengthen our body and make us feel calm.
After a quick warm up, can you try some of these?
Challenge: Can you create your own
yoga pose? Which parts of your body
does it strengthen?
Thursday – Task 4 (Music)
This is a traditional French nursery
rhyme called Frere Jacques. Can
you learn it in both French and
English?
Once you have learnt the song see
if you can clap the beat. How can
you change the song? Maybe you
could add actions or clapping.
Challenge: Can you turn the song
into rap using a different beat?
Friday – Task 5 (Music/Art)
Today, you are going to listen to a piece of music and create some art at the
same time! Listen to the following piece of music, whilst listening make lines
on paper (they do not have to look like something) that feel like the music.
Once you have finished add some colour. Does this piece remind you of the
music?
