The focus of the NSW-wide survey is on student wellbeing, engagement and effecve teaching prac- ces. More informaon about the survey is available at: hp://surveys.cese.nsw.gov.au/informaon-for-parents The survey is a great opportunity for our students to provide us with valuable and quick feedback on what they think about school life, how engaged they are with school and the different ways that teachers interact with them. Schools in Australia and around the world have used the Tell Them From Me survey to help improve how they do things at school. I want to assure you that the survey is confidenal. The sur- vey is conducted online and will typically take less than 30 minutes to complete. It will be administered during school hours between 21 August and 13 October. Parcipang in the survey is enrely voluntary. A consent form and FAQs for parents/carers about the sur- vey is being sent home with students. Staff Leave Mrs Hawke is on leave this week and next. Student, Parent and Staff Survey – “The Tell Them From Me” Survey Once again this term (as in term 1), our school, like many other public schools in the state, will participate

in a Department of Education survey: the Tell Them From Me student feedback survey. This term, the student survey again aims to help im-prove student learning outcomes and measures factors that are known to affect academic achievement and other student outcomes. These include: communication between parents/carers and staff, activities and practices at home and parent/carer views on the school's support of learning and behav-

iour. This valuable feedback will help our school make

Our Ski Team On the 20-25 of August 2019 the skiing and snowboarding state titles were held at Perisher. Lucy B and Zara D both raced in the ski cross and Lucy also raced in the ski giant slalom [GS]. Leo L raced in the snowboard cross and snowboard GS. We had a lot of fresh snow just before the event. Lucy B came 13th in the GS making it in to the national titles in Mount Buller, Victoria, and came 27th in the ski cross. Zara D came 24th in the ski cross. Leo L came 22nd in the snowboard GS which was half a sec-ond off making the national titles, and came 28th in the snow-

board cross. There were about 50 racers in each event. It was really fun competing against other schools!!! By Leo L

Congratulations to our full ski and

snowboard team of Georgia D, Leo

L, Lucy B and Zara D who defeated

St Mary’s by a very narrow margin

of 7.13 points to 7.08 points in the

annual Moruya Primary School Snowsports Challenge, held as part

of the NSW Interschools southern region championships at Perisher

in July. The trophy gets to stay with Moruya for another year!
