Writing Tasks -Complete the story in your home learning books. Use the

story mountain to remind yourself of the structure of a fiction story and

think about what will happen at each point in your story. The opening has

been done for you. Think about your Year 4 writing checklist!

Story opening: This was their favourite time of day to fly. As the

glowing, crimson sun dipped down below the vast horizon, retreating

to allow night to take its place, the dragons took flight.

add more detail to your sentences. You can do this by adding: Fronted adverbials,

conjunctions, adverbs, expanded noun phrases and powerful verbs.

For example: Scenario 1: I think that this person should not meet this person online because not everyone can be trusted. I would speak to them and then tell a

trusted grown up; such as family member of teacher and share my worries and help my friend. This person might not be who they say they are.
