On the following 2 slides, there is suggested pacing for each day of the week. The pacing and assignment checklist for the week can also be found as an assignment on Google Classroom. Following this pacing is completely optional.

When working online, it is usually a good idea to use the Google Chrome browser and to log into your Google Classroom account. This will help if you are using some websites that are linked to your Google account.

Google Hangouts Morning Meetings

In place of our individual video conferences, we will have 2 morning meetings this week! There will be one on Wednesday, April 22nd from 9:30-10:00 and another one on Friday, April 24th from 9:30-10:00. The purpose of our virtual morning meetings is to continue building our classroom family just like we were doing in school! Plus, I just really miss seeing you all at once! Attendance is optional. If you cannot make it, that is okay. Hopefully you’ll be able to attend another one! Please use the nicknames found on the Week 5 slides on Google Classroom to join the morning meeting. This is not how we normally join Google Hangouts, so watch this video of Mr. Hart explaining how to do it!

Book Club - Google HangoutsThis week, you will be participating in book clubs through Google Hangouts! This will replace your ‘original’ and ‘reply’ comments. Please take a look at the table on the following slide to find your scheduled day and time. If the day and/or time for your book club meeting does not work for you, please let me know as soon as possible and I will try to reschedule.

Before your first book club meeting with your group members, please make sure you review the Google Meets Expectations posted on our class Google Classroom.

Please bring the following items to your book club meeting:

1. Book club book2. Stop and jots

Now that we are finished studying the American Revolution, it is time to share what we know! We will be writing a rap or a song about an event from the American Revolution to show what we have learned and to have a little fun.

Click here to see an explanation of the project and Mr. Hart’s example.

I will be sharing a document on Google Classroom titled, “SS Unit 3 Performance Task” for you to submit your work.

Once you have finished writing your rap or song, use this FlipGrid link to record yourself performing it! (bonus points if you get your parents or siblings to do it with you 😁😁😁) Remember, use your Google login and in case you’re worried, I will be the only person that can see these!
