Week 2: In-class assessment on teamwork (group work, individual assessment) Assessment value: 5% Due to the complex and multi-disciplinary nature of engineering projects, professional engineers will, over the course of their careers, perform most of their work in teams. The ability to work effectively in a team is an essential skill for engineers. Teams are formed and managed in order to achieve objectives by harnessing the diverse and complementary skills of the individuals within the team. With the common goal in mind, it is important for the individuals within the team to know the strengths and weaknesses of their colleagues in order to allocate tasks and nominate roles appropriately.
