Wednesday Week 6 Writing

Today you are going to learn about causal conjunctions. These are conjunctions that help to explain

how something works or why something has happened.

Go through Week 6 writing PowerPoint from Wednesday’s slides about causal conjunctions and try

the activity.

2. Choose 3 causal conjunctions and write them in sentences. It could be useful to think about your

zoo argument, and write 3 sentences you can use in your writing tomorrow.

Wednesday Week 6 Wider Curriculum – Art

What is Zentangle?

The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and

fun way to create beautiful images by drawing

structured patterns.

Almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It

increases focus and creativity, provides artistic

satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal

wellbeing; in other words, it makes you feel good!

Or we can CREATE our own!

Important rules to follow!

Zentangle MUST be created in a ‘zen’ environment. Find somewhere calm and quiet

to work.

Zentangle MUST not be created using rulers or guidance.

Zentangle is drawn straight onto paper using pen, we do not practice in pencil and go

over and we do not use a rubber.

If a ‘mistake’ is made, it is up to you as the creator to find a creative way of

incorporating it into your design. You do not rub it out, you go with it.

The best Zentangles are ones which are slowly completed with lots of small, detailed,

repeating patterns. This is not a job you can rush.

Here is a video to show you how to start:

You don’t need to pay much attention to what they are saying, but watching the video will show you

what to aim for. You also don’t need to use a square outline, here are some other ideas:
