AUTISM SPEAKS Autism Speaks will be hosting their first walk on Thursday, October 15 at 6:30pm on Langford Green. “Walk Now for Autism Speaks” is a unique fundraising event designed to provide resources for individuals and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) while simultaneously creating a safe and fun night for our community to come together and advocate for a more accepting and knowledgeable tomorrow. The lack of necessary scientific information and corresponding social stigmas surrounding the disorder is the reason to walk: to promote awareness, fund research, support affected individuals, and encourage acceptance. You may sign up individually or with a team and registration is FREE. There will also be a variety of food vendors at the event, as well as face painting, a bounce house, and entertainment! To register, click here. If you or your organization would be interested in volunteering at the event for community service hours please contact Gina Soricelli at (772) 812-0486 or email [email protected] or Kristina Urdaneta at (786) 200-5307 or email [email protected].
