Wedge wire screen is a type of metal filter element

widely used in a diverse range of applications that

requires screening, filtering, dewatering, sizing, drying or

cleaning. It consists of support profiles (support rods)

and surface profiles (profile wires). Surface profiles, usually

v-shaped wires, are rigidly connected to support profiles

by means of resistant welding. The distance between the

v-shaped wire is controlled accurately, as it forms a slot

that enlarges inwardly, thus creating a large open area

and clog-resistant surface.

Wedge wire screen functions as support grid, sieve bends,

baskets, nozzles, lateral assemblies, resin traps and sand

screens to be used in industrial applications, including

gas, oil, chemicals, petrochemical, drilling, mining, food or

water processing and paper production.

Sieve bend is a kind of fixed slit screen with certain

curvature radius and wrap angle. It has no motion parts

with simple structure yet large processing capability. Sieve

bend plays the role of dewatering, sculping, desliming

and recovery of graded slime in the process of coal

preparation.

Sieve bends are manufactured by wrapping and welding

stainless steel V-shaped profile wires and support rods. Then

the panel screens are cut and curved into arc screen. The

wedge wire sieve bends have continuous slots, which has

efficient filtering performance. Forces exerted as materials

flows against the curved surface, curved screen structure

has better filtering and greater capacity than the wedge

wire screen panel.

Screen basket is mainly composed of an upper flange, a lower flange, reinforcing ribs, reinforcing rings and a

stainless-steel cone mesh cylinder. Of which, sieve bars are arranged along the cone busbar of the screen basket

and are made into a wedge shape to reduce the clogging of the screen. Wedge sieve bars and support strips

made of stainless-steel wires are specially welded into a fan-shaped screen mesh first, and then a plurality of fan-

shaped screen meshes are welded into a cone mesh cylinder. The sieve slot generally ranges from 0.3 mm to 1

mm, or customized upon request. The screen basket is connected to the main body with bolts through holes in the

upper or lower flange.

Resin trap is a safety device used on the overflow lines of

ion exchange units, high-purity water systems and activated

carbon and media filters.

In many systems, a valve failure can allow media to escape

from the treatment vessel, which causes not only the

significant loss of expensive media, but also the possibility of

damaging downstream pumping equipment.

Resin traps, placed inline, provide positive protection. The traps

Sand screen is an important equipment in oil drilling operation

and is often used in early completion or oil production and sand

control. Its main function is to screen out small stones or gravels in

the oil, to ensure the purity of the oil as much as possible.

Wedge wires used in the sand screen forms a v-shaped opening

between the slots of the screen, thereby ensuring the smoothness

of oil-water filtration. Wedge wires are continuously wrapped on the

pipe to form a continuous high-density uniform gap, which ensures

the open area of the screen and its non-blocking property, and

avoids high-density accumulation of sediment, relatively improves

the production efficiency and prolongs the pump inspection cycle

of the oil well.
