“The LORD is in his Holy Temple;

let all the earth keep silence before

Him.” (Hab 2:20)

Until 1969, the various Catholic lit-urgies were all of apostolic origin.

The Gregorian Latin liturgy, cele-brated in this church, follows the tradition of Saint Peter, the first Pope, and has never undergone any essential change till the present time.

Every gesture, every word has been weighed and measured with the as-sistance of the Holy Ghost for the greater glory of God and the salva-tion of souls.

We thank you for coming. Whether you are just visiting us for a brief time, looking for a spiritual home, are returning to the practice of Catholic faith or are interested in finding out more about the Catholic Church; we are happy to have you here, as you are. Please take time to read this bulle-tin, to meet with the priest after Mass and to socialize. Enter the Holy Temple of the Good Lord to worship Him. Pax vobis! Peace be with you!

“Let the charity of the brotherhood abide in you and hospitality do not for-get; for by this some, being not aware of it, have entertained angels” .

“Wherefore receive one another, as Christ also hath received you unto the honor of God” .

Prior Principal & Assistant Assistant Assistant Assistant Assistant Fr. Marc Vernoy Fr. Pierre Duverger Fr. Louis Alessio Fr. Sean Gerrity Fr. Joshua Jacobs Fr. Samuel Fabula

To receive Holy Communion:

- You must be a baptized Catholic, hav-ing made a good confession since the last committed mortal sin - if any - in order to hopefully be in the state of Grace. - You must believe in the doctrine of Transubstantiation. “For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself” (1 Cor. 11:29). - You must observe one hour of Eucha-ristic fast (except water and medicine. Howev-er, we advise to abstain from food and alcohol for three hours and one hour for other liquid before Holy Communion). - One must not be a public sinner (public adulterer, concubine, public homosexual), or ex-communicated, or interdicted. - The most important requirement is to have a great desire to receive the Body,

the Blood, the Soul and the Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. You can humbly approach the Commun-ion rail at any time after the Communion of the priest. Then, open your mouth wide and extend smoothly and horizontally your tongue. There is no special order, so that nobody should feel compelled to follow a general movement. Do not judge your neighbor who abstains from receiving Holy Communion, as there is no obligation to receive it daily. Howev-er, “Live in a manner to be able to receive com-munion every day!” (St. Augustine) In this Church, the faculty to absolve sins is directly granted to the priests by the Holy Father.

Out of respect for Our Lord Jesus Christ and for the edification of our neighbor, we beg all to appear in Church decent in deportment and modest in dress. However, no one has the right to question others, especially visitors. It belongs to the parish priest alone to instruct the laity when they repeatedly dress or deport be-low expectation. For gentlemen and lads: Neither shorts,

T-shirts nor sneakers meet the norms of modesty. For ladies and girls: Neither shorts, slacks, sleeveless, short nor low-cut dress-es meet the norms of modesty. Furthermore, according to apostolic cus-tom or Church law, gentlemen are bare-headed in church; and ladies are requested to cover their heads.

Thank you for your charity.

St. Ambrose: Concerning Repentance, Book I

Chapter 16 90. If, then, any one, having committed hidden sins, shall nevertheless diligently do penance, how shall he receive those rewards if not restored to the communion of the Church? I am willing, indeed, that the guilty man should hope for pardon, should seek it with tears and groans, should seek it with the aid of the tears of all the people, should implore forgiveness; and if communion be postponed two or three times, that he should believe that his entreaties have not been urgent enough, that he must increase his tears, must come again even in greater trouble, clasp the feet of the faithful with his arms, kiss them, wash them with tears, and not let them go, so that the Lord Jesus may say of him too: “His sins which are many are forgiven, for he loved much.” Luke 7:47 91. I have known penitents whose countenance was furrowed with tears, their cheeks worn with constant weep-ing, who offered their body to be trodden under foot by all, who with faces ever pale and worn with fasting bore about in a yet living body the likeness of death. Chapter 17 That gentleness must be added to severity, as is shown in the case of St. Paul at Corinth. The man had been baptized, though the Novatians argue against it. And by the word “destruction” is not meant anni-hilation but severe chastening. 92. Why do we postpone the time of pardon for those who have mortified themselves, who during life have done themselves to death? “Sufficient,” says St. Paul, “to such a one is this punishment which is inflicted by the many; so that contrariwise, you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means he should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.” 2 Corinthians 2:6 If the punishment which is inflicted by the many is sufficient for condemnation, the intercession which is made by many is also sufficient for the remission of sin. The Master of morals, Who both knows our weakness and is the interpreter of the will of God, wills that comfort should be giv-en, lest sorrow through the weariness of long delay should swallow up the penitent.

Serving practices are on Tuesdays at 3:45 p.m. and on Thursdays at 6:45 p.m. for any who wish to learn to serve the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. If interested please see Zachary Petrone.
