Lesson 2: Reading: (15min) Read CH6 of The Firework Maker’s Daughter. Grammar (45min) Determiners: A word which comes before a noun. See the task attached below for examples and your task.

Lesson 3: Reading (30min) Listen to part 1 and 2 of the Firework Maker’s Daughter CH7 CH7Writing: (30 min) You are going to retell the events from Lila and Lalchand’s firework display. Listen carefully to the extract in chapter 7 part 1 when Lila and Lalchand begin their firework display (0.37 seconds). Begin your paragraph with…’Lila and Lalchand hugged each other tightly and ran to their places.’

We have set a To Do on Purple Mash as a template or if easier, you can use the ideas on the template attached below.

Watch the clip carefully TWICE. There is a lot of vocabulary in there that we have been learning in year 4.

TASK 2 (10 mins)

Choose an animal. It doesn’t have to be one that we have learnt, but you might find that easier. Draw a picture of it and label it (in French). You might like to choose two animals and link them using ‘and’.

TASK 3 (20 mins)

Write a short paragraph expressing your opinion about animals. Try and choose some different animals from task 2 if you can. You can freeze the video by pressing pause to help you with any spellings.
