There are 5 sections to this project and each section will have a due date so it can be graded and returned to you. Points are deducted for each day the project is late so make sure you know the due date for each section. In order to earn all the points in each part here are the things you should include and complete.

First side of each section:a. Glue 5 pictures from your supermarket circular onto the first page of each of the 5 parts. Label them. (For

example, brown rice/ Grain group, spinach/ Vegetable group, peanut butter/ Protein group, strawberries/ Fruit group, cheddar cheese/ Dairy group.)

b. At the top of the page, list how many servings YOU need each day.c. Use the posters in school or the www.choosemyplate.gov website to look up what serving sizes are like in that

group. For example: 8 oz. glass of milk/Dairy Groupd. Complete the middle and bottom sections.

Backside of each section:a. Copy, word for word, the benefits and vocabulary from the last page of this booklet. b. Read each set of directions for the middle section of this page and complete it at home as directed.c. Refer to the listed website for a recipe that represents the group you are learning about and then look up another

recipe on your own. As you complete your project book, neatness, and complete answers will be considered part of the points earned in the grading rubric.
