Newsletter Number 1 of 2019Dear Parent/Guardian

Warm greetings to you all and compliments for 2019. I hope God will richly bless you.

1. School uniforms Pupils are expected to put on their formal uniform on Monday, Thursday and Friday. Sports attire is worn on

Tuesday and Wednesday. We hold assemblies every Monday and Friday so every pupil from Grade 1-7 is expected to put on their

this term, whilst pupils from grade four to seven pay $4 for each swimming session they go. Pupils are expected to be in complete sports attire i.e.

2.2 Lessons extensionPlease be advised that every Monday starting from 28 January 2019 to a date to be advised, lessons for Grades One and Two will end at 3:30pm. So as to compensate for the lost time during the second week of the term. (i.e. from 14 – 18 January 2019) when children did not attend lessons.

3. Health Issues

4. HomeworkHomework is given on a daily basis. Please ensure that your child does his/her homework. It is your duty to assist your child with his/her homework. Please sign in the book to acknowledge that you have seen the homework. You may call your class teacher if the child does not bring homework.

5. Fees paymentWe would like to thank you for paying school fees timeously. As the norm, you choose the payment plan that suits you. Payment plan 1Full payment of $900.00 for grades 1-7 or $650 for EDC to be paid during the holiday or on the opening day.

6. Upcoming eventsa. Civvies Days

We shall have our Civvies days on the 1st of February 2019, 1st of March 2019 and on the 5th of April 2019. All students are expected to pay $2.00 on each day.

b. Infants Inter-house Athletics Competition

We shall be having our Infants (ECD – grade 2) inter-house competition for athletics on Friday the 1st of March 2019 from 8:00am – 1:00pm, so we take the opportunity of inviting you to come and grace the occasion and cheer your child’s team.

c. Exeat weekendOur mid-term break will start on Friday the 22nd of February and lessons will resume on Tuesday the 26th of February 2019.

d. Extra-ordinary General Meeting The Extra-ordinary General Meeting will be held on the Friday the 22nd of February 2019 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. We take the opportunity to invite you to come and attend the meeting.

e. Consultation DayConsultation day for ECD – a & b and Grades one to seven shall be held on Wednesday the 6th of March 2019 from 12:30pm to 15:30pm. This day is meant for you parents/guardians to consult with the teacher on the progress of your child and not for brothers or sisters and maids.

f. Juniors Inter-house Athletics CompetitionWe shall be having our Juniors (grade 3 - 7) Inter-house athletics competition on Saturday the 9th of March 2019 from 8:00am – 1:00pm, so we take the opportunity of inviting you to come and grace the occasion and cheer your child’s team.

If your child is not feeling well please do not send him/her to school, you should just notify the school of his/her absence.

The school will be selling 100ml Dendairy FULL CREAM MILK and assorted CITROS flavours at the school from the 4th of February 2019. The cost price is $16.45 for bulk buying for the whole term and 40cents from the tuck-shop on a daily basis. For payments please use the following Ecocash number 0772 338 284 (N. Sibanda) and send the confirmationto your child’s class teacher.

g. Private Schools Athletics Competition (Juniors and Infants)We are going to host the Private School Athletics Competition on Saturday the 16th of March 2019. Several private schools are going to take part in the competition. We take this opportunity to invite you to come and cheer on your school on the day.

7. Merit BadgesWe would like to inform you that we shall be giving pupils from grade 1-7 merit badges. These are given to students who excel in different areas. May you please help the child to take care of the badge. If a child loses/damages the badge, the child will pay $20.00 for the replacement of the badge.

8. Educational trips 2019Listed below are the educational trip destinations for this year. Please note that ECDs go to trips termly. All pupils are expected to go to these trips in line with the new curriculum. Please make the necessary payments at the school office.
