Purpose and descriptions of Engage programs at the SUMMIT Sunday Mornings - We have a large group teaching time with worship, drama, etc… We will then split into discussion groups and further discuss that days lesson. These groups are facilitated by adult leaders. All this will take place during the 9am service. We encourage students to stay and participate in our second service at 11. Right now we will continue to use curriculum written by a great group of people at Student Life. We encourage all 6 th grade- 12 th grader students to attend and bring your friends! We also meet right at 8:45 am and hang out together. This is a relaxed time immediately before the student service begins. This is a good place to meet others if you are new to The Summit. During this time we give announcements of upcoming events, listen to music, play video games, and connect with each other. This is to help wake students up, energize them as we worship together. Gospel Community Groups - For Students Our desire is to teach each other to view everything in life through the lens of the Gospel. We will be doing this in everything that takes place in our student ministry, as we live life together, looking for the opportunity to teach, lead, direct and pour into students. There will also be more focused groups with chances to study the word together. Groups will differ each time offered. Some will be going through books together, some will be going through bible studies and applying the word to our life and all will focus on memorizing God’s word. Look on our website or newsletters to see when these groups take place

Sunday Mornings- We have a large group teaching time with worship, drama, etc… We will then split into discussion groups and further discuss that days lesson. These groups are facilitated by adult leaders. All this will take place during the 9am service. We encourage students to stay and participate in our second service at 11. Right now we will continue to use curriculum written by a great group of people at Student Life. We encourage all 6th grade- 12th grader students to attend and bring your friends!

Gospel Community Groups- For Students Our desire is to teach each other to view everything in life through the lens of the Gospel. We will be doing this in everything that takes place in our student ministry, as we live life together, looking for the opportunity to teach, lead, direct and pour into students. There will also be more focused groups with chances to study the word together. Groups will differ each time offered. Some will be going through books together, some will be going through bible studies and applying the word to our life and all will focus on memorizing God’s word. regularly to let you know what is going on. We will meet once a month for a large group event where all students are together for a time of connection. These events change month to month and are always on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. We have seen some great things happening on these nights as we encourage our students to bring their friends. The 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month we will meet together in the Youth room at 5:30pm to sign in and head out into the community to serve. Some will include, the sharing shed, Kids bible clubs, homeless ministry, retirement centers, local ministry at a hospice and more to come. We believe God is calling us to do as James 1:27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Summer Camp/Engage Mission trips-. More information to come on Camps 2013. This Summer we are headed to Cedarville University for Camp and then spending a day at Cedar Point roller coaster park! July 08-13, 2013. Students went to Joplin in 2012 and will be going on more mission events in 2013. Mission trip to St. Louis inner city this Summer. Info to come.

Retreats/concerts/outreach events- These are events that are purposed to reach students. Sometimes these will be overnighters and sometimes they will be just an afternoon somewhere. These events will be placed on the calendar and communicated with students and parents in advance.

Transporter of students- we need adults to help transport groups of students to areas we are serving. Such as the sharing shed, St. Charles for bible clubs, Crisis Nursery, etc…

Students serving the body - We want our students to become people who serve the community and this Church Body. Students have the opportunity to serve in Summit Kids our children’s ministry during 2nd Service two times a month. Those that serve are asked to stay for 2nd service the weeks they aren’t serving in Summit Kids
