RULES:EARNING BELTS:
To earn a belt, the student must have a successful solo performance of a song from that belt color. A successful performance requires the student to earn a minimum of 15 points based on the recorder rubric. There are 18 points possible. When a student earns a belt, they receive a yarn belt to tie around the bell of their recorder.
ORDER:
Students must progress through the belt colors sequentially. There is no skipping of belt colors. The order is: White Belt, Yellow Belt, Orange Belt, Green Belt, Purple Belt, Blue Belt, Red Belt, Brown Belt, and Black Belt.
