Follow this patter if your child struggles to remember what they are writing: First think of what you are going to write, then say it 3 times out loud, then write it and finally read it back (make sure you have clear spaces between words, and you use full stops and capital letters correctly).

*Remember neat writing, correct formation of letters and correct spellings are important too!Try these maths questions

Find different pairs of objects and mix them up on a tray.Then match the pairs and count the objects in 2’s.Make it hard by adding lots of little objects or easier by having fewer objects.

Make addition and subtrcation sentences using numbers below, e.g. 5 + 1 = 6 or 4- 2 = 2

10Make prices tags for your toys and then:

Add 2 toys together and work out the total

Find objects around your house and measure how long they are using a

If you found one of the questions challenging why not try and do the same question using different numbers to help practise the concept:

Look on the internet at a map of the UK, use it to help you colour land in green and water in blue. Then label London, Sheffield, a seaside, the water around the UK and perhaps other cities important to you and your family.
