Subject: Information sought under RTI Act 2005 Reg: a) Delay in Payment of Pension / Arrears of Pension / Additional Pension and / or DA on Additional Pension b) Delay in issue of Revised PPOs to Pre & Post-2006 Retirees I, Harchandan Singh, Secretary, Railway Senior Citizens Welfare Society, Chandigarh & R/O 32 Phase 6, Mohali, Chandigarh, hereby, seek the following information under RTI Act 2005: 1. i) Is the Government / DOPT & PW aware that many of the Central Government including Railway Pensioners have not been paid any of or part of the following dues by the concerned Branches of the Nationalised Banks – including some Branches of SBI – on the plea that the said Branches had not received the Revised PPOs and / or the specific instructions / orders from the Government / the Central / Regional Office of the concerned branches - causing serious hardship & harassment to Pensioners in this old age?:- a) Revised Pension; b) Additional Pension; c) DA on Additional Pension; d) First installment of Arrears. ii) What are the specific instructions to the Banks about the above said items (a to d)? iii) Has DOPT reiterated these instructions? If so when? Copy of the same may please be supplied 2. i) What are the instruction / orders of Government / DOPT about issue of Revised PPOs to all Pre & Post-2006 Retirees? ii) Who is to issue the same? ii) By what date are these Revised PPOs to be issued to Pre & Post-2006 Retirees? iii) Will the Revised PPOs to Pre & Post-2006 Retirees, be issue by the Pay & Account officer concerned, of their own or are the Retirees required to apply for the same ? iv) a) Have the Departments / Ministries concerned been asked: To issue the Revised PPOs forthwith on the basis of Government notification on the National Portal or to wait for the orders from the Railway Board and in turn from the Concerned General Managers etc.; OR To issue Notice / Notification calling for the application from the Pre & Post-2006 Retirees to apply for the revised PPOs – (as had been done by the Western Railway as per copy of Notification attached) ?

I, Harchandan Singh, Secretary, Railway Senior Citizens Welfare Society, Chandigarh & R/O 32 Phase 6, Mohali, Chandigarh, hereby, seek the following information under RTI Act 2005:

1. i) Is the Government / DOPT & PW aware that many of the Central Government including Railway Pensioners have not been paid any of or part of the following dues by the concerned Branches of the Nationalised Banks – including some Branches of SBI – on the plea that the said Branches had not received the Revised PPOs and / or the specific instructions / orders from the Government / the Central / Regional Office of the concerned branches - causing serious hardship & harassment to Pensioners in this old age?:-
