FALL RETREAT 2013 Logistics: Everyone should plan on arriving between 7:30 and 8:00 on Friday night. We plan to be done with the retreat and ready to depart on Sunday by 1:30pm. A packing list will be made available the week before the retreat, along with a tentative schedule for the weekend. (Note: the packing list will include bringing your own linens and pillows and such.) The Campground: The retreat will take place at Kenbrook Retreat Center in Lebanon, PA, north of Lancaster, about 2 hours from here. Along with lodging, a cafeteria, and meeting space, the campground offers a sand volleyball court, a large field for group games, a pavilion area and campfire site, a gym (a large floor for both volleyball and basketball, a nice game room with ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and carpet ball), a small lake with canoes, and hiking trails. Who Can Go: This event is open for Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12). During the retreat, we will be sensitive to some of the differences between MSers and HSers. MSers will have an earlier bedtime, and some structured activity during free time on Saturday afternoon. When we do small groups, there will be specific groups for MSers led by adults. Our housing arrangements make it possible for us to separate MS and HS, and this will be our goal. Cost: The cost for the retreat is $85 per person. This includes housing and 5 meals at Kenbrook, along with all the other features they offer there. Unfortunately, we can’t offer a discount for sponsors from your church. I would recommend your church covering the cost for the amount of sponsors you need for the trip. If you have some kids who are having a problem with the price, and you would really like to see them go, contact me. We may be able to partner with your church to make it more affordable for them. Sign-up: Everyone should contact me no later than Thursday morning, November6 th with a number from your church. Also, I’ll need to get a $20 deposit for everyone coming from your church by Monday, November , along with the retreat registration form – included in this packet. Because I have to submit numbers

FALL RETREAT 2013 Logistics:Everyone should plan on arriving between 7:30 and 8:00 on Friday night. We plan to be done with the retreat and ready to depart on Sunday by 1:30pm. A packing list will be made available the week before the retreat, along with a tentative schedule for the weekend. (Note: the packing list will include bringing your own linens and pillows and such.)

The Campground: The retreat will take place at Kenbrook Retreat Center in Lebanon, PA, north of Lancaster, about 2 hours from here.

Who Can Go:This event is open for Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12).

Cost:The cost for the retreat is $85 per person.

Sign-up:Everyone should contact me no later than Thursday morning, November6th with a number from your church. Also, I’ll need to get a $20 deposit for everyone coming from your church by Monday, November , along with the retreat registration form – included in this packet. Because I have to submit numbers to the camp that week, it is important I get this information by those dates. Also, the deposit will be non-refundable, since we will be required to pay for anyone who signs up, but does not show up. It is important that all adults going on the retreat from your church has a background check done on them. If one has already been done in the last 5 years, you do not need to do another one. Just note one has already been done on their form. If you need assistance in getting a background check done, let us know.

Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions: church office ( 410-838-8290), email me at [email protected]; send me a message on Facebook; call me on my cell phone at 443-617-6429.

I hope that your church will be able to be a part of Fall Retreat. Our desire is to have more interaction with the teens across our district and to provide events for some churches that may not be able to do them on their own.

Grace and Peace! ~ Gregg Alsbrooks
