which they have done without being asked: Joseph Ortiz, Lizzy Alcott, Jack Hopcroft, Jack Philpott and Jessica-Jai Bellamy. Points have been added to Class Charts. We have had a number of student’s texting home if they don’t feel very well. Please be assured that we have policies and procedures in place to ensure that if a child doesn’t feel well, our medical staff will contact home. If your child texts home, please do not come and pick them up, please contact the office and we will let you know the situation. This is to safeguard all our students. May I also remind you of our uniform policy, which states no makeup, no false nails and only one stud in the lower lobe of the ear. May I thank you in advance for your support in this matter.English & Maths Assessments will take place in the Sports Hall on Tuesday 19th June English 9.20-11.05 and Maths 1.20-2.50, and Maths again on Wednesday 1.20-2.50. Please ensure students have a clear pencil case with their equipment in.Have a lovely weekend.YEAR 10 – MR N MURPHY, HEAD OF YEAR – [email protected] week year 10 have their assessment week, this will include examinations in the sports hall for Maths and English and the lesson based assessments for Science, RE and the student’s option subjects. It is imperative students give their full effort in both their preparations for these assessments and show the resilience required to tackle the challenges they may face when actually sitting the exam. As I have always said students should see the assessments as a fantastic opportunity to showcase all their talent and hard work, the exams will also crucially highlight areas that require improvement and then both students and staff can work together to ensure positive progress moving forward. I would also like to say a big well done to all the year 10 helpers who supported the Walkwood sports day this week, you were a fantastic representation of Saint Augustine's Catholic High School. YEAR 11 – MR E MILL, HEAD OF YEAR – [email protected] 11 have one more full week of exams coming up with 4 major core exams as well as exams in Geography and History. Students will continue to be in school full-time up until the end of the Physics exam on Friday 15th June. Students will receive intervention sessions before exams and receive expert professional advice from members of staff for last minute revision. On Monday 25th June all Year 11 students are invited to a leaver’s service where the Year group will meet together for one final time. Also on the 25th students will receive their prom tickets and locker money will be returned to them if they are able to return two keys with their padlock. As I have asked before if students could donate any uniform (especially blazers and ties that would be wonderful). 6TH FORM – MRS C PADDOCK, HEAD OF KS5 – [email protected] 12 should be working through a thorough programme of revision in preparation for their end of year exams. The exams start on the 25th June. Only two school weeks remain, so please help to ensure students are fully prepared for these important assessments. A reminder to all students who have successfully managed to secure a placement to hand in details and parental consent forms to either Sally Beach or Miss Klatt. Any parents that know of a placement that may be suitable, please contact the school. Students in Year 12 enjoyed a visit to The Hive public library in Worcester this week. Mr Hutchison and his group took time to research history.REMINDERSMonday 9th - Friday 13th July - Work Experience Week
