JOB PURPOSE

The post holder will work as part of the Stronger Families Hub team to engage with participants waiting for support with a view to increasing the number of participants who start the programme or to sign-post them to other services. The role will also involve engaging with referrers, supporting Key Workers to make initial contact with participants, linking in with Stronger Families specialist staff and supporting promotion activity.

The Stronger Families programme is part of Building Better Opportunities, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund. The programme is delivered in Bradford and Leeds, in partnership with Leeds City Council and third sector delivery partners, to support families to overcome the barriers preventing access to education, training, employment and skills building.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

The post holder is responsible to the Hub Manager for overall individual performance and day to day dutiesThe post holder will work within the Hub team and the wider Stronger Families partnership.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The main responsibilities of this role include: Contact participants, working collaboratively to build trust in order to identify interest and motivation in

joining the Stronger Families programme Support the management of need and risk, sign-posting participants to other programmes or services where

appropriate and referring into statutory services. Motivate participants to think differently so that they can engage with the programme Identify barriers to accessing the Stronger Families programme especially from under-represented groups Work collaboratively within the Stronger Families partnership, which includes VCS agencies and statutory

agencies to support participants to join the programme. Develop effective working relationships with referrers and referring agencies to continue to develop and

improve referral pathways Be a positive advocate for and promote the Stronger Families service at events and meetings to increase

knowledge of our programme, tailoring the information to the needs to the group Support the development of promotion campaigns and activity including organising events and manning
