JOB DESCRIPTION – BANDSTAND ATTENDANT ROLE
Hours of work Saturdays and/or Sundays as required. Typically, 3 hours per performance
Salary level NJC SCP 3 – 6 (£9.36 - £9.94 per hour)
Responsible to: Town Clerk
Responsible for: Bandstand performances in Keynsham Memorial Park
No Management responsibility
Job Objective: Ensuring the safe, smooth running of the bandstand performances throughout the season
Main duties and responsibilities: General
To deliver first class customer care by ensuring that both the bands/choirs and audience are assisted on the day.
Providing the following services
Prepare the bandstand area pre-event by putting out display board giving details of the band performing
Putting out a minimum of 50 chairs for the audience There are 120 chairs (available). Provide the band/choir members with any chairs that they may need.
Communicate with key band/choir contact person on the day of the bandstand event to ensure that their needs are met.
A few bands/choirs may need the use of the bandstand sound system (mobile) and generator (training on how

to use these will be provided).
Be aware and responsible for Health and Safety on the day of the event.
Hand out programme fliers during the event.
At the end of the event pack up and put away all chairs.
Complete Band feedback/evaluation form after performance and return to Deputy Town Clerk, after each event.
Customer Care Liaise with the general public as necessary and promote a positive image of the Council’s services to the public.
Always wear any issued uniform and maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene.
Maintenance/Health and Safety Compliance with all Health and Safety procedures. Read and understand all Risk Assessments – (including Lone working and COSHH).
Report and record incidents involving accidents, damage, vandalism and fire etc to the Town Clerk.
Applicants will be required to submit to a full DBS check.
JOB DESCRIPTION - WEEKEND AND BANK HOLIDAY LITTER PICKER ROLE
Hours of work Saturdays and/or Sundays with occasional bank holidays as required. Typically, 1.5hours/day
Salary level NJC SCP 3 – 6 (£9.36 - £9.94 per hour)
Responsible to: Town Clerk
Responsible for: Skate park, tennis courts, two play areas and Bandstand in Keynsham Memorial Park
No Management responsibility
Job Objective: Litter picking and general tidiness of the above areas including sweeping the bandstand
Main duties and responsibilities: General
To deliver first class customer care by ensuring the above areas are free from litter during weekend operation.
Customer Care Liaise with the general public as necessary and promote a positive image of the Council’s services to the public.
