This week you all your literacy and topic learning are going to be covered by the same activity – creating a minibeast fact file! Please see below for details:

WALT research information about minibeasts and create a fact file.

You have all been super minibeast detectives! This week for all literacy and interdisciplinary/topic activities, you are going to create your own minibeast fact file showing all your wonderful learning!

This can be made any way you choose. It can be a little booklet, leaflet or fact sheets put together. It can cover all minibeasts in general or you could focus on two or three and do them in more depth.

Here are some examples…

You will need to look up the internet or books to do some research of your own and put it into your fact file. You can write out your fact file or type it. You can make up your own layout or you could print off sheets like the one above. (Twinkl have lots of ideas.)

Some examples of things to research could be… What does your minibeast look like? Where does it live? What does it eat? Does it change in any way from when it is born? How does it protect itself? E.g. is it camouflaged, does it

have a shell? Does it have any special skills?

We would like you to include the following star steps in your fact file…by

Star Steps A front cover with a title and your name Information about your chosen

Here are some fun ideas you could try at home (there is a link on the blog

to a fortune teller).

On the blog you will find 2 videos to support your understanding of symmetry and links to a selection of differentiated symmetry games. There is also a selection of printable worksheets to choose from if you wish too.
